Basic Function

This position reports to the Senior Manager Treasury Operations and will be an important pillar to execute the diverse and far reaching Treasury Operations processing activities. The Treasury Analyst will execute standardized, repetitive work such processing of intercompany Netting, administration of in-house bank duties, confirmation and payment processing of FX and Investments trades in SAP and supporting stakeholders, serve as the first point of contact for other departments in their queries and will support other team members in their day to day responsibilities. 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Reviewing, confirming and settling treasury trades in SAP
  • Processing of Treasury related payments
  • Responsible for SAP In-House Bank activities like intercompany Netting
  • Responsible for SAP administration of Trade finance; Bank Guarantees / LC and other treasury products.
  • Responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders like other LYB’s departments and cash management banks. 
  • Responsible for regulatory reporting like EMIR reporting
  • Creating Treasury reports
  • Supporting Cash Flow Forecast preparation and reconciliation
  • Acting as  back up of other team members
  • Work on ad hoc topics as requested by the line Manager
  • Perform other treasury related activities with guidance from more senior members of the team
  • Participating in Treasury projects and other system enhancements as and when required
  • Monitor the relevant Treasury Documentation (procedures and work instructions) to ensure compliance and report process changes to ensure these remain accurate.

Min. Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required, with a major in Business, Accounting, Finance or similar field
  • 1-5 years of experience in finance, accounting or treasury role in a complex organization
  • Treasury experience in a multinational company is preferred
  • English skills, additional language preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills (including macros) and power point
  • Knowledge of Power BI is preferred
  • SAP experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Well-organised, structured working approach
  • Ability to clearly, effectively and constructively communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong focus on accuracy and detail
  • Able to work under pressure in a company with an international culture
