The Position based in Poznan, reporting to the SSC team will work closely with the Financial Instruments & Hedge Accounting team, responsible for overseeing the guidance research of US GAAP and IFRS, accounting, close process, policy development and maintenance, and financial reporting for financial instruments and hedge accounting applications, including commodities, foreign currency, and debt.

About the Role

• The primary responsibility of this role is the preparation of Dutch National Bank (DNB) reporting, complemented by tasks in Treasury and Corporate Accounting.
• The Senior Accountant should demonstrate strong collaboration skills, effectively partnering with team members and building productive relationships with all stakeholders.
• They will apply their knowledge of processes and past experience to support assigned initiatives and projects.
• The role requires an experienced professional with a sustained and long-term interest in Treasury Accounting.

A Day in the Life

• Prepare Cash flows and financial positions for Dutch national Bank reporting purposes for all Dutch (inclusive LBI NV) and finance companies.
• Treasury Accounting (primarily preparatory role).
  -TRM Month-End Jobs (run job during MEC, analyze and adjust results),
  -Control and Analyze Treasury related GL Transactions,
  -Control and analyze Set up and Mapping Treasury new Contracts,
  -Provide global support on Treasury related results: e.g. interest, fx, etc.,
  -Set up and/or adjust GL data for Treasury Contracts and Banking data for new entities,
  -Prepare and analyze quarterly flux report for Finance Companies,
  -Perform any other ad hoc tasks as assigned.
• Corporate Accounting (primarily preparatory role).
  -Maintain Statutory accounts,
  -Prepare Statutory Financials for Finance Companies,
  -Prepare deliverables for auditors & follow up on questions,
  -Prepare GL account reconciliations,
  -Prepare, maintain and report on accounting in relation to European C02 emission rights.
• Ensure that robust preventive and detective controls are in place and functioning as intended. Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of a SOX-compliant control framework that guarantees internal processes are properly designed and consistently effective.
• Oversee the clearing of any audit or controls findings by coordinating with other Finance functions as applicable.
• Partner with the functional process-teams to make sure accounting records are accurate, timely and complete.
• Provide accounting guidance, advice and approvals to functional process-teams, as necessary.
• Provide input and support for SAP ERP enhancements and related system improvement projects for assigned legal entities, and lead implementations as needed.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and other third parties regarding audits and related procedures, and assist in providing requested documents or information.

You Bring This Value

• University degree or bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of related accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in Finance/Accounting gained in complex/multinational organization with variety of operations.
• Exposure to technical GAAP knowledge (USGAAP, IFRS and local GAAP) related to a wide variety of topics, with the ability to extract appropriate accounting elements from business deals / contracts.
• Experience with internal controls and SOX/404 requirements.
• Professional qualifications: certifications such as CPA /CA and/or CIMA are preferred but not mandatory.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Strong knowledge of SAP systems.
• Knowledge of OneStream and management reporting systems (Preferred).
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
• Capacity for strategic thinking as well as high attention to details.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate clearly and concisely, both in written and verbal formats, within a multi-cultural environment.
