As a Senior VAT data & compliance Analyst you will be part of a larger VAT compliance team as part of our Poznan Poland Shared Service Centre, working closely with the VAT Compliance Manager, EU VAT Lead based in Rotterdam as well as other tax and technology colleagues based in different locations, working together to deliver excellence while driving innovation and efficiency in VAT operations. Part of the role shall also help and manage the preparation of VAT returns that shall give you a good opportunity to familiarize yourself with our VAT processes, control, system and data environment to allow you to identify and support the transformation of our VAT compliance functions by being a change agent within the VAT team.

Drive VAT compliance across EU entities by preparing and submitting accurate returns and insightful reports. A Day in the Life
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, statistical reports, and European Sales Listings using the Thomson Reuters VAT Compliance Tool, ensuring seamless integration and reconciliations with SAP data.
- Analyze data by developing and leveraging data analytic tools, assist in the mapping of VAT processes, and identify trends and uncover opportunities & anomalies for improvement and process & control optimization, driving efficiency and reducing risk.
- Collaborate across business functions, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Treasury—to resolve compliance issues and enhance workflows.
- Support audits with precision, maintaining clear, comprehensive documentation for internal and external stakeholders, including data analysis
- Lead and participate in projects focused on automation and compliance efficiency, leveraging technology to transform VAT processes and controls.
- Maintain a robust fiscal archive, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and adherence to company standards.
You Bring This Value
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A background in tax is not required or necessary. Strong candidates with the skills required, from backgrounds other than tax, will be considered.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in data analysis role with strong evidence of promoting innovation and efficiency by streamlining and standardizing business processes while leading others in an organization with similar operational scale and geographic footprint.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP (or similar ERP systems), experience with data analytic tools and development & managing dashboards Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to interpret complex data, identify discrepancies, and propose process improvements.
- Communication: Strong people skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external authorities.
- Detail-Oriented & Organized: Capable of managing multiple deadlines across different jurisdictions.
- Language: Fluent in written and spoken English; additional European languages are an advantage.
