Basic Function

In your role as Senior Plant Controller you will be responsible to provide value added financial support and advise to manufacturing leadership team and other business functions through timely, high quality and leveraging information & insight on manufacturing cost performance to aid in the decision making and optimization of financial results.
You will be responsible for managing the fixed & variable cost accounting, analysis, reporting and internal control activities for all aspects of the entire site operations, coordinating the annual budget exercise and monthly forecast updates in order to closely monitor, project and manage manufacturing cost performance. The Senior Plant Controller will participate in process improvement teams, drive continuous improvements in our processes and procedures and provide turnaround controlling support as required. Incumbent is expected to have a “hands-on” attitude, is result oriented and has strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • The Senior Plant Controller is the competent financial dialogue partner for the Site Manager and Site Management and effectively partners with functional, operational and business unit leadership.
  • This position routinely interacts with internal customers including plant management, operations, supply chain, segment controlling, general accounting, inventory accounting, fixed asset accounting, internal controls and audit.
  • Key activities include monthly performance reporting on variable and fixed costs that satisfies all stakeholder’s requirements for timely, focused, decision oriented performance reporting.
  • Support in coordination and management of the annual budget process with regards to costs, capacity, investments etc.
  • Preparation of the monthly forecast.
  • Cooperation with auditors and external consultants in regards of internal and external audits (SOx) respectively projects.
  • Initiation and coordination of internal and cross-departmental process improvements.
  • Participation in special projects.

 

Min. Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing Accounting and/or Controlling
  • Proactivity and flexibility with a strong drive and a can do attitude
  • Interest to take over deputy activities of Plant Controlling Manager
  • Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools (Microsoft Office, SAP CO, MM, FI)
  • Excellent planning and analytical skills, ability to transform data into actionable information
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Economics
  • Proficiency in German and English
