Basic Function

GL Accountant is a member of General Accounting Team. Responsible for working directly with other internal teams, line management and other SSC departments. Based on the current needs of the department GL accountant is responsible for processing Finance Master data requests and support financial requestors. GL Accountant will be directly reporting to GL Team Leader. 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Processing Finance Master data requests;  
  • Assisting Financial requestors and technical support;
  • Working with other internal departments for coordination on Finance data tasks and projects;
  • SME for Finance data;
  • Working closely with the GL TL to drive standardization, implement new tools, streamlining processes and focus on Finance Master Data process improvements;
  • Cooperation with internal and external auditors;
  • Other duties as required.

Min. Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance or similar;
  • Job experience: first experience in General Ledger accounting, Master Data Team or similar;
  • Very good knowledge of English language;
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point);
  • SAP experience will be a plus;
  • Strong Excel and database skills preferred;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to work across cultures with all levels of an organization;
  • Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and results-driven.
