Basic Function

GL Accountant is a member of General Accounting Team. Responsible for working directly with local teams, line management and other SSC departments. GL Accountant will be responsible for Intercompany process.

Roles & Responsibilities

Preparation, review and posting of journal entries and accruals to the general ledger,
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations,
Ensure proper accounting policies and principles are followed in accordance with GAAP,
Daily bank statements check,
Clear open items on clearing accounts,
Handling daily transactions in scope of Intercompany,
Monitor of intercompany position and resolve mismatches from intercompany perspective,
Identify and implement process improvements to build efficiencies,
Close cooperation within departments across LyondellBasell Group and with auditors,
Other duties as required.

Min. Qualifications

Minimum education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance or similar,
Job experience – At least 2 years experience in general ledger accounting or similar,
Very good knowledge of English language,
MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point),
SAP experience will be a plus,
Strong Excel and database skills preferred,
Strong analytical and problem solving skills,
Strong organizational skills,
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
