Basic Function

Managing and directing activities in the compounds Pinda (PDO) unit production and materials handling area, focusing on ensuring a healthy, profitable, and safe operating environment, seeking to achieve the unit's targets and indicators, as well as promoting improvements and minimizing costs through Operational Excellence (OE) initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Acting as an important member of the local leadership to drive the performance of the areas under his responsibility; production and material handling.
- Promotes “benchmarks” and challenges the “status quo” in order to inspire and determine opportunities for improvement, including leading initiatives and efforts focused on establishing new levels of performance, profitability and safety in the areas under his/her responsibility and interface areas. 
- Uses the process of dialogue and coaching, as well as ensuring the training of his work group by identifying training needs and promoting the individual development of his direct employees to achieve business objectives and create value and development for the all organization.
- Ensures compliance with general business principles and company policies in all areas under their responsibility.
- Ensures compliance with the unit's production and materials handling program, with process optimization and quality assurance, developing alternatives to problems that may make it impossible to achieve.
- Contributes to and stimulates the entire production and materials handling area in order to achieve the unit's objectives and targets, as well as striving for excellence in the unit's indicators. 
- Works to minimize operating costs, reduce losses, and increase the plant's operational efficiency.
- Leads the execution of various management programs.
- Spreads the culture of “Operational Excellence” and “GoalZero Safety Performance” throughout the various stages of the production process, dealing with operational failures clearly and factually. Encourages the search for innovations through a suggestion program. 
- Develops improvement projects at all stages of the process, in the continuous pursuit of operational excellence.
- Provides technical and operational support to the industrial management of the Pindamonhangaba plant.

Min. Qualifications

- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical or Materials Engineering or related areas 
- Experience in industrial environments.
- Experience in coordination/management positions in manufacturing companies.
- Advanced/Fluent English.
- Knowledge of tools (APQP, FMEA, MASP).
- Knowledge of ISO 9.001, ISO 14.001, ISO 45.001, IATF 16.949.

Preferred Qualifications

- Postgraduate degree and/or MBA in Industrial Management desirable.
- Basic computer skills (ERP Datasul, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- People Management (People Development Coach).
- Experience in industrial processes.
- Ability to solve problems collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Management of performance indicators in the production area.
- Systemic vision.
- Knowledge of the business and market prospects. 
- Desirable - Planning manufacturing activities.
