Basic Function
The Quality Leader will champion, support, and lead quality improvement initiatives that are data-driven, technical, and preventive in nature. This role plays a key part in monitoring the performance of quality systems and driving continual improvement in line with strategic quality goals. The Quality Leader works cross-functionally to ensure customer requirements are fully understood, met, and exceeded, while proactively identifying how these expectations evolve over time. A strong focus will be placed on statistical analysis, root cause investigation, and implementation of preventive solutions. This role contributes directly to developing and reinforcing a customer-focused and quality-driven culture. #LI-LL2
Roles & Responsibilities
• Ensure that the components of the Quality System are in place, maintained, and effective.
• Lead the application of quality tools, statistical methods, and process controls to reduce variation and improve product and process performance.
• Act as a customer advocate, ensuring voice-of-customer feedback is translated into actionable improvements.
• Drive and lead nonconformance and root cause investigations using structured methodologies.
• Own the disposition process for nonconforming materials and associated decision-making.
• Authorize credits for non-conforming products at customer locations (small to moderate financial impact).
• Identify improvement opportunities through data analysis and partner with site teams to implement technical solutions.
• Coordinate and manage customer visits, audits, and quality-related communications.
• Respond to customer surveys, complaints, and inquiries with professionalism and urgency.
• Collaborate with corporate quality and other site quality professionals to implement site-level quality initiatives aligned with broader corporate goals.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to site quality teams and lab technicians.
• Work with front-line supervisors to enhance quality ownership and improve team engagement.
• Contribute to the strategic development and deployment of quality goals and KPIs.
Min. Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 5+ years of quality experience
• Technical leadership and supervisory responsibilities
• Strong foundation in quality methodologies, statistical techniques, and problem-solving tools (8D, FMEA, Fishbone, 5 Whys)
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
• Excellent Computer Skills (Excel, Word, Statistical), and data analysis tools
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and interface effectively with all levels of the organization
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with ISO and or IATF
