Basic Function
The HR Business Partner will have responsibility for the on-site HR partnership role supporting the business unit at the Perrysburg Ohio site, as well as the Bay City, MI. site. This position will support all levels of leadership focusing on various Human Resources areas such as employee retention, talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning, onboarding programs, and general HR policies and procedures, etc. This position will be based at the Perrysburg, OH site, but some travel to the Bay City, Mi. site will be required.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide one point of contact for HR support to assist in the achievement of client's business goals and objectives providing strategic partnership/ advisement with internal client leadership at all levels.
• Develop employee retention initiatives in partnership with the Site; evaluate retention drivers and turnover statistics; work with management team to develop retention plans and oversee execution of those plans.
• Act as a trusted advisor to management ensuring the establishment of sound management practices, aligned with HR policy, procedure and practices, as well as compliance to Federal and State regulations.
• Proactively identify business and HR objectives/expectations that will benefit Site leaders - manage to completion.
• Facilitate the improvement of quality and delivery of HR processes and data requests. Provide analysis and insight into people and culture metrics for the Site.
• Partner with leaders in the development and implementation of organizational structure changes including identifying impact and assisting in the communication as needed.
• Provide counsel to client leaders in order to proactively anticipate and address complex HR issues impacting the business.
• Support and drive the implementation where needed of high performing HR practices and systems.
• Coordinate and lead talent management discussions with assigned business leaders.
• Partner with the business unit to identify opportunities for staff development and assist managers on creating development plans.
• Partner with the business unit and Talent Acquisition to obtain skilled talent. In collaboration with recruiting team, assist with development of local candidate sources and leveraging employees as ‘brand ambassadors’ to support hiring.
• Provided employee & labor relations management support for the Site, inclusive of employee behavior correction activities. Conducts investigations into complaints of violations of Code of Conduct and human resources policies, and provides written investigation reports to Legal and Compliance
• Participate in project teams at Site, providing guidance and support as appropriate.
• Oversee site employee leave of absence activity.
• Ability to travel to the Bay City, MI. site
• Display and advocate the Lyondellbassell competencies.
• Support other HR duties not mentioned.
Min. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree with a preference in Business Administration or Human Resources Management
Work Experience
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Human Resources in manufacturing environment
• Proficiency working independently in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Preferred:
· Experience within manufacturing or industry
· Prior SAP experience
· The ability and flexibility to support continuous operating manufacturing sites

- Must have solid HR fundamentals and broad-based experience in HR, including employee relations and knowledge and understanding of EEO laws, Affirmative Action and conflict resolution.
- Possess functional expertise in talent management, organization design, change management, employee relations, recruiting and staffing, training, and leadership/management development, including succession planning.
- Be familiar with HR best practices including change, motivation, and employee development. He/she will have change management experience within a highly result-oriented environment.
