Lab Testing Engineer

Basic Function

Perform technical analysis on samples received from customers and other LYB facilities and maintain the operation of instruments and equipment in PAD laboratory.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Contributes to a safe work environment aligned with corporate standards and expectations
• Create analysis report related to Technical service activities and QN investigation.
• Perform weekly verification of the instrument and maintain the records
• Ensure retained samples are kept in good condition and ensure cleanliness of the laboratory and equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance of instrument/equipment in lab testing to ensure the instrument runs well
• Manage the consumable part of instrument/ equipment in the lab to avoid testing delay
• Maintain the records in PAD respective area
• Manage the laboratory waste in liaison with HSE department
• Create and update HIRA based on activity and equipment in the lab

Min. Qualifications

Education:  

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Analytical chemistry is preferable or other relevant qualification.

Work Experience:

• Candidate at least 1 year in the laboratory field experience in the polymer industry, polymer additive, masterbatch, or flexible packaging analysis lab is preferable.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Basic knowledge of ISO 9001.

Languages:

• Bahasa Indonesia. 
• Proficiency in English
   

Preferred Qualifications

Skills:
•    Familiar with analysis instruments like DSC, TGA, FT-IR, GC-MS etc,, basic organic chemistry, and analytical chemistry. Strong analytical thinking and Willingness to study new knowledge.
•    Ability to interpret analysis result, write routine correspondence effectively and to speak fluently with internal and external customers.
•    Accountable, results-oriented, and self-motivated; open-minded to challenges.
•    Able to manage change and meet commitments and deadlines.
