To support our professional team in Oudsbergen, we are looking for a:



Color Lab Supervisor



Coordinating the activities of the Colorlab, actively participating in achieving the functional objectives within the European color network. Setting a good example in terms of regulations and procedures in terms of quality as well as safety. A first line of technical support is also provided to the customer in case the approval of a color adjustment requires it and/or when the customer has complaints about the proper functioning of the color masterbatch.


Tasks and responsibilities:


-         -  Operational management and coordination of activities by efficiently and effectively organizing, coordinating and controlling the day-to-day activities in the Color Lab. In      accordance with the applicable rules regarding quality and safety, with a cost-conscious deployment of employees and machines.

- -       -   Managing and processing information about pigments, additives and carrier materials.

-         -   Keeping, further developing and sharing accumulated knowledge and skills up-to-date in order to achieve continuous improvement and strengthen the competitive       position of the organization.

-         -   Represent and promote the image of the lab/LyondellBasell APS inside and outside the company to promote the interests of the company and promote brand    awareness.

-          -  Ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with safety and legal instructions, and take the necessary measures to prevent risks. Ensure that the lab activities and   associated procedures are up to date in accordance with the ISO 9001 standard.


Profile :

  • Bachelor Chemistry or equivalent through experience
  • 5 years in a LYB (or external) color lab
  • Extensive knowledge of pigments, additives and polymers
  • Knowledge of analysis and interpretation of measurement results
  • Knowledge of the color palette
  • Excellent color discernment
  • Knowledge of company-specific software such as Sololab, Colibri, SAP, ...
  • Knowledge MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Motivational coach with the necessary leadership skills
  • Strong in communication
  • Team player for which safety is a top priority
  • Analytical and well-developed problem-solving skills
  • Example in the field of integrity, flexibility, involvement, motivation and commitment
  • Professional (written and spoken) knowledge of English
