New Business Develop Mgr, Transportation

Basic Function

The incumbent of the job is accountable for growth of contribution margin growth and market share of Plastics Compounds (APS) in South East Asia and responsible for the development of a marketing strategy for South East Asia PM (PPC and EP) market, with special focus to US OEMs, European OEMs and other local/regional OEMs (excluding Chinese and Japanese OEMs). Strong liaison with the peers in rest of other Asian Countries as well as in EU and NA supporting development and execution of global OEM strategies and translating innovations and new developments between the regions are required as well as advising commercial teams in other countries of Plastics Compounds (APS) Asia-Pacific region.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Manages market share (“coverage”) at OEM/Tier 1 in strategic applications
  2. Accountable for application portfolio per OEM: value growth (CM1), balancing short-term tactics with long-term strategies; support minimize grade slate
  3. Accountable for new application and product development from concept to commercialization
  4. Accountable for innovation budget and plan, corporate with global innovation process team, using global innovation tools and procedures
  5. Establishes pricing guidelines for new products and innovation applications (value-in-use)
  6. Manages and prioritizes CPM project activities in cooperation with regional sales teams
  7. Drives product positioning based upon understanding of value chain and “value-in-use” analysis
  8. Builds strong link to Product Development Manager’s in Asia and the other regions by supporting development and execution of their OEM strategy in South East Asia and supports to coordinate with other countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
  9. Coordinates launch list in Asia countries as part of global launch list
  10. Develops and implements promotional strategies, including OEM/customer events
    1. Marketing Analysis: support data analysis for both South East Asia on different topics: macroeconomy, automotive industry, non-auto market etc. and build logic analysis based on the raw market data and give advice to the commercial organization
    2. Data base management: global IPD project database updates; build the connections between industry report (IHS report and other industry report) and connect them to business pipeline and support the business plan making, e.g. Bottom up plan and support LRP planning process
  11. Build and manage an efficient team around the innovation and new customers to ensure continuing improved sales and margin
  12. Corporate with PAD and other management for regular review in Product Stewardship. Responsible for evaluating the risk potential of new applications by using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) MATRIX

Min. Qualifications

Education:
University degree or equivalent in a science, technical or engineering discipline.

Work Experience:
At least 8 years experiences in diverse range of technical, business and commercial roles. Solid experience in PCMA Application and/or product development. Broad exposure to automotive industry.
Languages:
1.    Fluent in English, written and spoken.
