Sourcing Specialist

BASIC FUNCTION

• Responsible for the purchasing of commodities and services on a site or country basis. May also include contract ownership, management of Outline agreements/catalogs and spot PO´s.
• May negotiate low or midsize value contracts, less complex requirements and meet client objectives while achieving maximum overall cost effectiveness (price, quality, reliability, quantity, timely delivery.  Buyer will manage the tender process, legal terms and conditions, and contract management.
• Interacts directly with internal clients and suppliers to ensures accurate requirements are developed.  Establishes and maintains an effective procurement system consistent with LYB control guidelines.
• May be responsible for the complete administration of contracts in SAP, monitoring the ordering process, and improving  overall procurement efficiency
• Responsible for MRO category sourcing, negotiation, contracting and supplier management, in compliance with the local regulations and global policies.(categories including office supplies, spare parts, equipment and services, etc.).
• Report all cost savings in GPU’s global Supplier Excellent Center (SEC) database

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Drives significant and/or complex sourcing activities with focus on generating value and understanding total cost of ownership
• Promote excellent working relationships with internal customers and other supporting organizations, including Manufacturing, Technical center, Legal, Finance
• Comply with policy and standard
• Release and track the contracts or purchase orders
• Contract management
• Completes other work arranged by Manager

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Education:

University graduate with major in automation field or engineering field.

Work Experience:

5 years’ related experience as a Buyer required with degree

Skills:

1. Good command of MS office, experience of SAP.
2. Moderate proficiency in Microsoft office suite

Languages:

Good written and oral communication in English
