Basic Function
The role involves working in project engineering management teams with coordination of multi-disciplinary activities in one or more global projects. This position involves leading projects from GP Mumbai office and reporting to PM/PEM for those assigned global projects offices in Europe and U.S.A with value upto 50 Million USD. In addition, reporting to Manger Project Engineering at GP Mumbai for technical and administrative activities.
Roles & Responsibilities
General
• Ability to work within Project teams executing small and medium scale projects valued upto 50 Million USD.
• Effective Engineering co-ordination.
• Conduct meetings in a Project Environment and achieve good results.
• Work with teams from Multi-National Engineering Companies as well as with Owner teams.
• Good People Management skills.
• Organize the work for the Project team in the various phases of a Project.
• Work within LYB quality system and meet its requirements.
• Set up specific Execution plans.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to drive effective decision making.
• Provide good definition of Project scope with the site’s execution.
• Support PM to effectively achieve the Project Goals on Time Schedule, Cost, Quality and Goal Zero objectives.
• Strong sense of HSE requirements and their implementation in Project.
• Demonstrate Good ethical behavior as per LYB requirement.
• Ability to take sound engineering decisions to support project goals.
• Effective documentation coordination within project teams and other stakeholders such as Manufacturing/R&D etc.
• Support effective Engineering and Cost Estimate reviews.
Area of Expertise, Requirements
• Thorough knowledge of Engineering documentation and the workflow to develop them.
• Thorough knowledge of the Project Management Process.
• Know ledge of Project Schedules/ Cost Control/Project Controls activities.
• Knowledge of Technical/Commercial Change Management
• Good Knowledge of Document Management
• Good knowledge of design reviews, Risk Assessment, value engineering.
• Should have participated actively in Safety Review and have good understanding of its objectives.
• Should have good knowledge of scope management.
• Should be able to develop cost estimates for Engineering jobs.
• Good communication skills.
Min. Qualifications
Work Experience
• 6 to 10 years of Project Engineering experience with Reputed Engineering Companies or Owner’s organization.
• Preferably should have also worked in Hydrocarbon Downstream industry in Project teams executing Small/Medium scale projects.
• Should have experience in functioning within projects task forces.
