BASIC FUNCTION:
The incumbent of the job is accountable to Manage current and prospective end customers and develop long term business opportunities, create value and grow target products in Indian subcontinent regions for growing the Masterbatch business. Meet customer requirement by coordinating for introduction of new products and providing technical service to support the use of existing products. Ensure that technical resources and activities within the region are leveraged to optimize business success in accordance with the strategic marketing objectives. Will also be responsible for margin growth & market share of Consumer and Industrial segment in ISC region. Will be responsible for execution of marketing strategy for ISC market, Strong liaison with the peers in rest of other Asian countries as well as in EU and NA, supporting new development and translating innovations across.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Accountable for application portfolio per customer: value growth - margin contribution, balancing short-term tactics with long-term strategies; support minimize grade slateManages and prioritizes project activities in the region
- Drives product positioning based upon understanding of value chain and “value-in-use” analysis
- Builds strong link to Product Development Manager’s in Asia and the other regions by supporting development in collaboration
Develops and implements promotional strategies, including customer events - Data base management: Accolade project database updates; build the connections between industry report and connect them to business pipeline and support the business plan making,
- Coordinate with PAD and other management for regular review in Product Stewardship. Responsible for evaluating the risk potential of new applications
- Drives for results and achieves technical objectives within timelines e.g. customer approvals, commercialization of products, realization of technical value propositions
- Support for NBD activities for ISC (such as samples, follow up, BCRFD, NCM). New customer acquisition of masterbatches for specialty additives, White and Black, in the target product market combination.
- Support for scouting to the ISC team for the new customers in that region and especially in assigned countries, to convert opportunities into business.
- Coordinates and follows-up all activities with the customer product information, offers, orders, contracts negotiation and formulation, deliveries, invoice, credit terms, after sales service, claims, in close cooperation with the Customer Service Group.
- Develops strong relationships with key stakeholders and builds an effective network.
- Analyses, reports changes and new developments in the market concerning competition, customers, new products and services, sales methods and promotions. Provide regular forecast for the volume conversions.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Education:
University or College Degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Polymer Engineering
Work Experience:
More than 5 years + industrial experience in technical services, experiences in business and commercial roles.
Products to be handled: Specialty Masterbatches for Pan India.

Functional Competencies
Application and Process Knowledge: Understand at least one segment of major plastics processing technology, e.g. Flexible packaging (BOPP, CPP, Blown film etc.), or Rigid Packaging (injection , blow molding, thermoforming), Agriculture, Hygiene or Medical Packaging etc. Good understanding of measures of application performance, related industry test methods.
LYB Product Knowledge: The performances of LYB products under the above said process and applications situations, the benefits in use versus competitors.
Safety and Product Stewardship: Knowledge of related Product Safety, Food contact approvals. Understanding of Product Risks Management, and awareness in daily activities, such as product development (Global Polymers Innovation Process), complaint handling, and customer communications. Troubleshooting, complaint closure, account management skill (development).
Presentation and Communication Skills - Presents information in a simple way, clearly communicating the key messages and engages the audience. Communicates openly and clear. Simplifies complex issues where possible and share information freely.
