Logistics Specialist

Basic Function

The purpose of the job is to manage logistics operations of APS Imports & Exports of AFMEI region from all sources. This includes coordinating with sources logistics teams & site logistics to ensure on time shipments of orders as well as right & accurate shipping documentation.

The role is responsible to support LYB APS inventories at hubs or external warehouses within region of responsibility to ensure compliance with LYB standard requirements. This includes accuracy of OBL inventories book vs physical.

The role also manages APS 3rd party providers – ILR, LSP & NGR performance to ensure high service level with adequate cost. This role also ensure accurate data is maintained to support MIS/spend report/all types of audits related to SCM. 

Roles & Responsibilities

Import Clearance : 
•    Checklist Validation, Review DSR.
•    Issue Shipping Bonds, Submit Provisional Duty Bond, Bank Guarantee, Test Bond, Sec 49, etc as required.
•    Ensure import clearance under Final SVB / Provisional SVB applicable as per Shipping Document, Declarations / Close Custom queries.
•    Compliance to customs guideline, LYB Legal, Compliance, Treasury Finance.
•    Visit Custom Office, if needed.  
•    Develop, maintain & control the logistics service provider’s operations to ensure optimized performance.

Export Clearance : 
•    Freight Forecast, Checklist Validation, Custom Clearance & Review Export DSR
•    Export container booking  (Spot & Global),
Coordination with Shipping Line etc
•    Vessel screening & Share quarterly data with LYB compliance team
•    Support for Express/Telex BL amendment and LOI.

3PL WH Management.
•    Compliance with agreement - Stock Level & Space management.
•    Ensure safe operation at external warehouse, safety work and operational awareness to service providers.
•    Co-ordinate the processes of all the RM imports into warehouses within area of responsibility to ensure timely clearance and movement of raw material required for assets.
•    Support FERT movement, storage & sale from WH.
•    Ensure 100% FERT/RM inventory accuracy of OBL locations, any variance need to settle within timely manner after investigation.
•    Providing training to 3PL WH team, how to access SAP PRD, documentation part & LYB process.

Freight Management
•    Coordinate Marine Cargo Claims for imports and domestic shipments.
•    Maintain all master data of shipping routes, map freight rates in SAP for shipments Exported out of India APS assets  & Freight conditions like FRC1, FRC2, etc

Accounting
•    Timely validate and submit Vendors bills.

Utilization of Govt Schemes
•    Advance Authorization License - Prepare data, Application, Review working, Apply, Obtain, utilize AAL. Get benefits of other applicable custom / govt schemes.
•    Duty draw back : Track / follow up with custom / ILR for timely payments.
•    Utilize RoDTEP & SEIS scripts for clearance of Import shipments.
•    Obtain COO through NGR for export

System
•    Prepare Testing plan & execute new external WH plant testing in SAP STG & PRD environment
•    Perform Testing in STG/PRD environment for various project as per business demand.

Compliance
•    Monitor process in line with trade compliance policy for ILRs.
•    Maintain records for Archer Controls (CP-315866, CP-315833 & CP-315843). Support statutory audits.
•    Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 & IATF 16949 (process, procedures, KPI’s, Risks, Opportunities).
•    Renewal, Revalidation, NGR, LSP, ILR agreements, with help of LYB Legal, Compliance, Finance team.

KPI
•    Maintain a system of performance management (Logistics error free deliveries, On time clearance of Import, Freight and Warehouse spend monitoring).
•    Monitor Premium freight with support of Site Logistics and take possible necessary actions to reduce.

Vendor Management
•    Create/Close QP for poor performance of business partner and take necessary action to avoid reoccurrence.
•    Complete workflow task of QN Process.

Min. Qualifications

Education: 
-    Bachelor Degree with minmum 5 Years of relevant experience
-    IT capabilities (e-mail, SAP, BW, Excel, Word, Powerpoint). 

Work Experience: 

Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant logistics & customer management
