For our German site in Münchsmünster we are looking for a

 

Head of E&I and Process Control (m/f/d)

 

 

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

 

  • Accountable for the operation of the Site Electricity Supply and maintenance of electrical supply grid.
  • Establish and maintain an approach to maintenance in which the business objectives are achieved while employee health, safety, legal and environmental stewardship are the top priorities.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining appropriate maintenance performance regarding to E&I and Process Control to meet business and other objectives by taking ownership of:
    • Safe execution of maintenance work
    • Plant reliability targets (with Operations managers)
    • Contractor strategy
    • Effective use of predictive and preventive maintenance techniques
    • Effective TA management in line with best in class performance
    • Statutory requirements to assure asset integrity
    • Maintenance costs (shared with maintenance manager Cracker und HDPE)
    • Continuous improvement activities
    • Operation of electrical supply grid
    • Business site focal point for electrical energy forecast, accounting
    • Site focal point for external electrical energy supplier
  • Available to advise the maintenance - , process control - , TA -  and engineering Team.
  • Optimization of spares parts inventory to minimize the inventory while providing adequate cover to achieve the business objectives.
  • Participate in companywide working groups

 

Qualifications

 

  • University or equivalent degree in Engineering or sciences, or more than 15 years’ experience in maintenance and engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of chemicals manufacturing experience. Experience working in a multi-national company preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English is essential. Knowledge of other languages is useful.
  • Ability to communicate in the site's local language (German) is preferred, or must be rapidly achieved.
  • Broad business understanding and ability to take account of wider issues than those relating to the immediate challenge.
  • Skilled in managing a safe maintenance environment for high productivity, high quality, and low costs including understanding of maintenance processes and metrics to deliver results. 
  • In-depth familiarity with maintenance strategies and approaches. 
  • Competent in contract management and negotiations.
  • Knowledge of governmental regulations pertaining to Health, Safety and the Environment.
