This position provides direct supervision and leadership to maintenance technicians to ensure that maintenance services are performed safely, efficiently, per quality standards and in compliance with company Safety, Health and Environmental procedures. The position requires effective interpersonal communication, proven leadership, and working knowledge of computer application software, maintenance equipment, repair methods, MOWP process, plant policies, departmental procedures, and pertinent key performance indicators.
A Day in the Life
• Provides safety leadership in all maintenance activities with a Goal Zero focus
• Leads or delegates daily Tool-Box Safety Meetings, communicates schedule changes as necessary, and reviews job scope with technicians.
• Coordinates Priority 1 and 2 work orders through assigning appropriate crafts and skills to complete this work during normal business hours.
• Provides technical support or solicits support to conduct investigations compliant to our Intelex incident reporting application and Barrier Failure Analysis methodology.
• Collaborates with other organizations to understand and satisfy plant needs
• Ensures all documentation is complete, tools and materials are returned, and job plan feedback is provided to the appropriate Planner at the completion of each work order.
• Participates in development of weekly and daily work schedules while providing constructability feedback, as appropriate.
• Works with Material Coordinator to get tools and materials for scope changes and to return non-stock parts, tools, and equipment at the end of each work order.
• Interacts with work permitting process and ensures all safety procedures are followed.
• Ensures jobs are completed efficiently, time approved in CATS and work order closed.
• Ensures repairable parts process is properly initiated and followed through.
• Participates in the identification and implementation of reliability driven improvements including investigation of Rework, failure analysis, and Data 2 Action initiatives.
• Identifies and overcomes barriers to increased maintenance efficiency
• Drives technician compliance with training plans and skill gap closure identification
• Collaborates to facilitate effective succession planning
You Bring This Value
Minimum Requirements -
• High School Diploma or GED
• Five years’ experience in a maintenance role in petrochemical manufacturing
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, build effective teams, empower others, be a champion of change, problem solve, innovate, and enable value
• Strong technical orientation with basic computer skills and functional knowledge of SAP
Preferred Attributes -
• 10 years of combined maintenance experience in a petrochemical manufacturing environment, preferably in a maintenance role
• NCCER or other applicable certification
• Ability to identify and resolve re-occurring maintenance issues
• Demonstrated history of leading complex multi-disciplinary initiatives
