Inventory Planner

Basic Function

•    Produces and executes inventory plan for the stocking points at China, Taiwan & Japan to support Customer Services, Operation Planners, Logistics & Businesses in implementing their business plans of selling all the products Asia to generate revenues and profits for the company
•    Responsible Inventory Planning Management and related operation for all the products in China, Taiwan & Japan
•    Provide support to logistics operation functions and manage logistics vendors in China, Taiwan & Japan

Roles & Responsibilities

•    Provide a real time inventory positions with accurate and timely entry of imbound and outbound data in stock balance report and transactions in SAP
•    Update inventory and  import schedule data and provide daily and monthly reports to the related party regularly 
•    Conduct inventory reconciliation / adjustment in each month-end / Yearly stock taking
•    Follow up import order schedule, docs, import declaration, GR, Set up COA data
•    Coordinate with customer services, customs broker & finance to conduct export declaration
•    Process  GR and create delivery batch for export sourcing from third party tolling
•    Complete COA related information, material write off and tanks transfer in SAP
•    Conduct non-bonded stock transferprocess for Tariff Waiver for US-original goods on website, prepare documents for customs clearance and follow up RMB transfer process
•    Manage inventory in the third party terminals for physical stock movement
•    Coordinate with Operation Planners for the replenishment and available salesable stock to optimize inventory balance. 

Personal Specification


University / college degree preferably in planning, logisitcs or relevant discipline of supply chain

Work Experience: 

•    Minimum 5 years experiences working in multi-national company in several Supply Chain functions  (customer service, shipping, distribution, planning)
•    Knowledge of international trade or supply chain functions preferably on planning Procedures

Critical Competencies/ Behaviors

•    Good understanding of LyondellBasell's business processes and operational procedures
•    Manage the delivery aspects in an Distribution hub of obscure rules and constantly changing distribution patterns
•    Exercise strong communication skills internally and externally in order to achieve the objectives of the Supply Chain functions
•    Creative in developing cost saving programs to meet the business strategy, increase efficiency, and align procedures.
•    Strict compliance with local regulation, Distribution Standard and procedures, operating guidelines, and company Internal Control Policies & Procedures.
•    Special attention is also required to ensure the adherence to the Logistics Code of Practice as well as conforming to corporate commitment to Responsible Care & product Stewardship
•    Regular training and review will be essential to ensure smooth distribution operations are carried out
•    Strong interface with Customer Service, Ops, Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain Management group
•    Externally, a constant dialogue will be necessary with a diverse range of contracted services and logistics service providers.

Other Skills:

1)    Good knowledge of operations planning, plant, logistics & customer service operations skills
2)    Negotiation skills for preparation, strength & weakness analyses
3)    Good command of MS Office suite of products, experience of SAP (Materials, Inventory modules)
