Logistics Buyer

Basic Function

The purpose of the job is to procure and manage logistics procurement service to O&P business in China.

Roles & Responsibilities
  1.             Support logistics manager to Identify or clarify the need for logistics service with internal customers (e.g. site or sales or marketing or planning team).
  2.             Support logistics manager to review performance of logistics provider on a regular basis together with site management, plant logistics and sales if necessary.
  3.             Support logistics manager to arrange the bidding or tender process & select the bidders. Manage the process to comply with procedure and guideline for service procurement
  4.             Support logistics manager to refresh and Acquire contract approval from legal, insurance, compliance and business
  5.             Support logistics manager to arrange ILR process according to compliance requirement.
  6.             Manage emergency of operational problems with business partners in the event of issues
  7.             Participate in projects. Bring in experience, address issues and challenge current practices
  8.             Provide training, guidance, and functional expertise as needed to assist and train colleagues  in the team
Min. Qualifications


University degree or equivalent in business subject with supply chain or logistics content.  

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years experience with logistics procurement role in China as part of job.


  1. Project management to get things done with many independent stakeholders
  2. Strong logistics procurement knowledge in China including the selection of the appropriate logistics service providers.
  3. Good command of MS Office (excel),  experience of SAP
