For our production site in Kerpen we are looking for a 

 

New Business Development Manager (m/f/d)

 

 

Responsibilites and Accountabilities:

 

  • Identify, support and close new business opportunities at Robert Bosch utilizing existing and innovative APS material solutions
  • Conduct customer needs assessments to fully understand best-fit material solutions for short and long-term growth; communicate those needs internally and collaborate with key functions such as Sales, Technical Service, Marketing, Technology and Asset Management to ensure alignment on growth and market strategies
  • Identify key innovation opportunities at Robert Bosch based on a deep technical understanding of applications and customer performance/economic requirements
  • Facilitates project implementation of Robert Bosch at Tier-1 level with Sales and Technical Service
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers at Robert Bosch in all functional areas, including Design, Engineering, Project Management, Materials Engineering, Purchasing, R&D, etc.
  • Develop balanced market share (coverage) of Robert Bosch and actively manages product portfolio in cooperation with Marketing
  • Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Sales, Technical Service and Marketing teams to give line of sight to where/how our products are, or will be, moving through the value chain

 

Education and Key Requirements:

 

  • University or college degree (or equivalent) in other scientific or technical (preferably polymer) area.
  • Five to ten years of relevant professional experience in a commercial (sales, marketing, business development or product management) role within the polymer industry, preferably having familiarity with customer facing role.
  • Basic IT capabilities (e.g. Microsoft, SAP).
  • Fluent in Germany and good in English (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to frequently travel within EU.
  • Driving license

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Able to work effectively with senior managers from diverse cultural backgrounds; seeks input and involvement of others in matters requiring wide support; builds consensus around complex issues; communicates messages in a clear way that does not leave room for ambiguous interpretation.
  • Excellent application and product related technical skills. Especially on E&E Applications.
  • Experience in processing and application technologies in the Consumer and industrial sector like E&E, consumer, smart appliances, power tools etc.
  • Experience with development project tool Accolade
