Our Talent Acquisition organization is undergoing a significant transformation to better align with our company's growth and evolving business objectives. The creation of a dedicated Talent Sourcing team underscores our commitment to attracting top-tier talent and fostering a diverse, inclusive workforce. The Talent Sourcing Lead will lead the sourcing team and drive LYB’s talent sourcing efforts. The Talent Sourcing Lead will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing team, developing and executing sourcing strategies, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver exceptional results. They will develop systems and processes for building and maintaining a robust talent pipeline for critical roles and engage passive candidates through proactive outreach.  

 

In addition, the Talent Sourcing Lead will create detailed market maps, identify emerging talent trends, and partner with the recruitment marketing team to attract top talent through employer branding initiatives. They will support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, collaborate with recruiters to ensure seamless candidate experiences, and track key sourcing metrics. Regular reporting on sourcing activities and results will be necessary to optimize efforts and achieve exceptional outcomes. This position will work a hybrid schedule based out of Houston, Texas.   

 

Day in the life

Team Leadership: 

  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing sourcing team.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Set clear expectations and goals for the team.

 

Sourcing Strategy: 

  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to identify and attract top talent.
  • Utilize a variety of sourcing channels, including job boards, social media, and professional networking platforms.
  • Leverage data and analytics to optimize sourcing efforts.

 

Talent Pipeline Building: 

  • Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline for critical roles.
  • Identify and engage passive candidates through proactive outreach.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers to understand their talent needs.

 

Industry Networking: 

  • Attend industry conferences, job fairs, and other relevant events to network with potential candidates and build relationships with industry professionals.

 

Market Mapping: 

  • Build and maintain detailed market maps of key talent pools.
  • Identify emerging talent trends and industry insights.

 

Recruitment Marketing Partnership: 

  • Partner with the recruitment marketing team to develop and execute effective sourcing strategies.
  • Leverage employer branding initiatives to attract top talent.

 

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: 

  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the sourcing team and across the organization.
  • Partner with DE&I teams to identify and implement strategies to attract and retain diverse talent.

 

Recruiter Partnership: 

  • Partner with recruiters to support key openings and ensure a seamless candidate experience.
  • Collaborate on sourcing strategies and candidate prioritization.
     

Data and Reporting: 

  • Track and analyze key sourcing metrics, such as time-to-fill and source of hire.
  • Provide regular reports on sourcing activities and results.

You bring this value

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required. Talent Acquisition experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Typically, 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with a strong focus on sourcing.
  • Typically, 2+ years of experience leading a sourcing team.
  • Passionate about sourcing and a relentless drive to find hidden talent.
  • Strong understanding of sourcing methodologies and tools. 
  • Ability to build detailed market maps.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve problems creatively.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR technology.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Understanding of NDAs and non-compete clauses.
  • A passion for people and talent development
