LyondellBasell is significantly stepping-up its sustainability commitments, execution and visibility with ambitious corporate sustainability strategies and targets. The role of a Sustainable procurement specialist is a role created to support Sustainable Procurement organization and is critical for the successful delivery of LYB’s commitments to drive positive impact on the value chain and environmemt. The Sustainable Procurement team collaborates with procurement professionals across LyondellBasell, to maximize impact of the corporate sustainabaility goals. This position acts as a Specialist to the Sustainable Procurement Team as part of Global Procurement. It reports to the Global Sustainable Procurement Lead.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Proactively engage with procurement, feedstocks teams and key stakeholders to establish and improve sustainability & ESG in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.
- Accelerate supplier sustainabiality assessments, audits and its related corrective action plans with LyondellBasell procurement professionals and suppliers.
- Drive Scope 3 product carbon footprint data collection and improvements through engagement with LYB Procurement functions and suppliers for input.
- Managing supplier emmission data in relevant IT systems.
- Close collaboration with Sustainable Procurement Scope 3 Senior Consultant.
- Close collaboration with Corporate Sustainability Scope 3 and LCA team.
- Close collaboration and contribution to Together for Sustainability Scope 3 program.
- Provide technical input and advice on environmental aspects of our value chain.
- Work collaboratively across global functions to secure consensus from senior leaders and their teams to embed sustainability into their ways of working.
- Deliver engaging communication with internal partners, and suppliers.

Min. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Sustainability, Environmental Policy, Environmental Studies, or a related field; Preferred Master’s Degree in Business, Sustainability, Environmental Policy or a related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience of supply chain sustainability, procurement & supplier engagement, corporate social responsibility, or a related field
- Strong analytical (excel) skills and ability to tell a story with data
- Excellent communication skills – verbal & written
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage projects
- A passion for sustainability
- Ability to work independently and with a diverse team; self-starter, driven
- Comfortable and confident liaising with key stakeholders across various levels
