Basic Function
Supply Chain is a customer-focused Center of Excellence providing industry-leading service while delivering differential value to the business, today and into the future. We separate our Supply Chain functions into several areas; these include logistics, customer fulfillment, services, trade compliance, and support for business processes and systems.
As a member of our dynamic Supply Chain team, you will play a critical role in helping us supply our products to a global customer base. In this contributing through others role, you will be responsible for ensuring the analytical and talent management needs of the Supply Chain management team are understood and met. During a typical day, you will drive Center of Excellence initiatives to support the business objectives and goals consistent with the Supply Chain framework.
This position reports to the Vice President, Supply Chain Americas and is located at our North American Headquarters in Downtown Houston. The position offers a competitive base salary, bonus, 401K matching, generous benefits package, pension plan, parking subsidy and employee discounts.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage talent management and business analytics consultants in support of Supply Chain strategy development. (6 FTE).
- Act as a liaison with the Supply Chain leadership team as well as interact with key stakeholders in the business, IT, and HR to support business objectives and goals consistent with the Global Supply Chain Framework.
Business Alignment
- Act as focal point for the Americas region for key business/CEO reviews, providing relevant data and developing presentations as required.
- Support Vice President, Supply Chain Americas for ad hoc projects, reviews etc. as required.
Technology Enablement
- Support “Supply Chain of the Future” digital roadmap to enable operational improvements, automate work processes and enhance the customer experience.
Benchmark Culture
- Drive benchmark culture and support external benchmarks to support internal improvements.
- Consolidate data to a global level and coordinate regular reviews to improve Supply Chain functions and objectives.
Operating Discipline
- Create efficient Lead-to-Cash processes while also identifying and managing Supply Chain risks.
- Facilitate development of organizational metrics and gap closure solutions, supporting Advancing Competitiveness initiatives, and fostering a GoalZero culture.
Logistics Procurement
- Establish and implement best practices on a global basis with other LyondellBasell regions in regard to all joint customers, suppliers, SAP functions, and shared master data.
Talent Management
- Lead all Supply Chain employee related items including: Talent Management, Summer Intern/College Hire program coordination, Recruiting, Onboarding, Mentorship, and Training.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with HR, Supply Chain leadership, and other business functions to develop and implement systems, programs, or other organizational improvements to optimize Supply Chain output.
- Communicate clear goals to team members to foster growth and career development.
- Encourage a positive organizational culture that respects people, values professional development, and strives for continuous improvement.
- Lead by example to create a platform with high employee loyalty.
- Operate with a strategic mindset to provide scalable process improvements and to support business objectives and goals.

Min. Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain, manufacturing or other related experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s Degree or MBA preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have managerial courage as well as the desire to grow and develop people.
- Commercial acumen and business understanding are required for this role.
- Demonstratable ability to perform in a fast-paced environment that requires rapid decision-making and task delegation with immediate impact on business results.
Preferred Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ managerial/supervisory experience preferred.
- Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Able to maintain professionalism and prioritize multiple responsibilities concurrently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Analytical skills and the ability to make sound decisions is important in this role.
- Composed in time-sensitive situations, comfortable delivering difficult news.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, BI, and Bourque.
- Experience with ERP software such as SAP is desired.
- Prior experience with process mining and/or data analytic tools.
