Basic Function

Reporting to the Global Payroll Systems manager, the Sr. Payroll Systems Analyst will support the US Payroll Operations department's objective to Process Multiple SAP Payrolls and lead all internal and external processes to ensure compliance across the payroll organization and providing accurate and timely Payroll Processing.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining payroll control record, finalizing and running payroll system processes and acting as primary interface/liaison between Payroll and IT to facilitate automation/development/testing of systems for SAP Payroll.  Responsible for all internal and external reporting.  Acts as the control point for system impact in third-party relationships.  As the Sr. Payroll Systems Analyst you must be knowledgeable of SAP payroll schemas, clusters, SAP Info Types, T-Codes and familiar with running SAP system programs.  

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Analyze the payroll data that internal and external systems collect, and how integrations and data interaction are being completed to look for better ways to use the data to drive greater efficiency and usability. 
  • Take existing reporting (Excel, Access, standalone, etc.) and enhance more sustainable processes. 
  • Be creative in data visualization (dashboards, tables, charts, heat maps, process flows, etc.) while making sure that output is usable and beneficial. 
  • Identify and utilize current toolsets to perform job functions including, automation, robots, etc. 
  • Support and manage compliance, escalations, operational and third party audits, data analytics, and complex activity administration.
  • Identify, analyze, and recommend solutions for systemic issues that relate to the payroll and the time & leave entry processes. 
  • Test system changes, enhancements, and upgrades related to payroll. design test procedures, define test scenarios, and perform tests to resolve problems or improve process controls.
  • Support special payroll projects and assignments as required. 
  • Identify and resolve complex problems with logic and reasoning skills.
  • Assist with researching, reviewing, and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing business analysis processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
  • Partner with IT personnel to assess and validate existing and resulting solutions to ensure quality of system and business needs are met. 
  • Act as a liaison with the IT department to ensure optimal performance of the solution.
  • Automating all 3rd Party interfaces as well as monitoring, fixing and coordinating any failures.
  • Assists Human Resource representatives and employees as appropriate in the procedural understanding and application of payroll and related Human Resource policies.

Min. Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in Business or Information Systems or related field.
  • 5 + years of relevant experience using SAP to maintain and process payroll.
  • Experience working with large volume payrolls.
  • Experience working in a multi-state environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP payroll and time modules and SAP reporting. 
  • Knowledge of SAP System payroll process model, payroll clusters, schemas, info-types and T-Codes.
  • Ability to multi-task at a high level of accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Strong oral & written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal conduct and behavior.
  • Proficient in MS Office products.
  • Able to comprehend moderately complex assignments quickly and use initiative to accomplish goals.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
