This role contributes to deliver value and drive excellence in the following areas:
- Global Long Range Plan (‘LRP’) process;
- Corporate Financial Analysis and Reporting;
- Corporate governance and setting the strategy for the standardized use of OneStream.
Your expertise will play a vital role in developing the OneStream strategy, the annual budget, long range plan forecasting process and providing insightful analysis on the corporate forecast, special projects and ad hoc support to leadership. This role provides guidance on how internal and external data sources are integrated and utilized for business reporting, analytics, and supports in strategic decision-making. This role facilitates effective communication between cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data-driven insights are integrated and standardized. The role provides an opportunity to work with multiple functions across the organization and be a strategic business partner to Finance & Strategy, Strategic, Planning & Transactions (SP&T), Investor Relations, Accounting, Tax and Treasury. Leading and mentoring a high performing team whereby he/she visibly leads and actively fosters a culture of inclusiveness and diversity. The Senior Manager manages a team of 2 to 3 direct reports. This role reports to the Director, Corporate FP&A, Management Reporting.
A Day In The Life:
- The continuation of the implementation of OneStream and implementation of the Financial, Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Operating Model transformation.
- Develop and implement corporate and business predictive analytics / artificial intelligence forecasting models.
- Lead the LRP process, support the annual performance plan process and partner directly with LYB leaders.
- Corporate governance and setting the strategy for the standardized use of OneStream.
- Lead and/or actively be involved in other initiatives and cross-functional projects to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies in FP&A and other Finance processes.
- Assisting in the company’s enterprise driver model development, for all enterprise-wide modeling and scenario analysis
- Provide in-depth financial/economic analysis and prepare high-quality presentation materials to support Board meetings, ongoing corporate/finance strategy development, and other ad hoc management requests and decisions.
- Provide insightful input and analysis for short term incentive reporting.
- Be the focal point and partner with the finance organization to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to analysts, fostering a high-performance team environment that aligns with LYB values and business goals.
- This role requires strong analytical skills and a finance background to innovate process best practices and manage the implementation process.
You Bring This Value:
- Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related business degree with ideally 12+ years’ relevant FP&A, corporate finance, business services, accounting, or other analytical experience required.
- CFA/CPA/MBA preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Onestream is desirable.
- Expertise in the chemical industry or manufacturing environment is preferred. FP&A experience with strong analytical skills is desired.
- Experience with financial data modeling and econometrics is a plus
- Strong ability to manage process changes with finance project management and implementation experience is a big plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively build and maintain solid relationship with internal/external stakeholders, and strong presentation skills to message and communicate results clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work under pressure to multi-task, prioritize, and effectively manage key stakeholder expectations.
- Ability to make sound decisions, while closely engaging and staying aligned with the rest of the FP&A team and other business service functions.
