The Sr. Manager, Executive Recruiting will lead LYB’s talent acquisition efforts for Director level roles and up. The Executive Search team will be focused on attracting and recruiting top-tier executive talent to drive LYB growth and future success. This hands-on role requires a dynamic leader with a strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively with senior executives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in executive search, a deep understanding of industry trends in executive recruiting and a passion for mentoring talent. They will handle multiple high-level, confidential executive searches concurrently, demonstrating the ability to prioritize and deliver results under pressure.
In addition, the Sr. Manager of Executive Recruiting will proactively identify and cultivate a strong pipeline of potential executive candidates, leveraging industry networks, conferences, and professional associations to expand the talent pool. They will utilize advanced sourcing techniques and tools to reach passive candidates and enhance LYB’s employer brand as a top destination for executive talent. This involves developing and implementing effective branding and marketing strategies, collaborating with the marketing and communications team to create compelling campaigns, materials, and events. They will also track and analyze key recruitment metrics to measure performance, identify areas for improvement, and prepare regular reports on recruitment activities and candidate pipelines. This position will work a hybrid schedule based out of Houston, Texas.
Day in the life
Executive Search:
- Develop and execute comprehensive executive search strategies to identify and attract top talent.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives across LYB, partnering with senior leaders to understand their talent needs and provide strategic insights to guide the recruitment process.
- Conduct in-depth interviews to assess candidates' qualifications, skills, and cultural fit.
- Manage the entire recruitment process, from initial candidate sourcing to offer negotiation, closing and onboarding.
- Manage multiple high-level, confidential executive searches concurrently, demonstrating the ability to prioritize and deliver results under pressure.
- Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives, fostering a workplace culture that values diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
Talent Pipeline Building:
- Proactively identify and cultivate a strong pipeline of potential executive candidates.
- Leverage industry networks, conferences, and professional associations to expand the talent pool.
- Utilize advanced sourcing techniques and tools to reach passive candidates.
Employer Branding:
- Enhance LYB’s employer brand as a top destination for executive talent.
- Develop and implement effective branding and marketing strategies to attract top-tier candidates.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications team to create compelling campaigns, materials and events.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor an experienced recruiter to achieve executive recruitment goals.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to team members.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Track and analyze key recruitment metrics to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports on recruitment activities, candidate pipelines, and other recruiting metrics.
You bring this value
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Typically, 15+ years of experience, with a focus in Executive Recruiting both in an external retained search firm and in-house executive recruiting for a large, multinational corporation.
- Prior experience in an HRBP role is a plus, but not a requirement
- Proven track record in developing and implementing innovative recruitment strategies
- Industry experience in Chemicals, Industrial Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Energy, Renewables, or Semiconductor industries is preferred.
- Exceptional leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior executives
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of the recruitment process
- Ability to work with candidates across multiple geographic regions.
