Basic Function

  • Develops, deploys, and manages complex strategies and execution plans on a global scale to lead culture change, establish a more robust talent pipeline (internally and externally), and expand employee training and development programs to meet the needs of the future including Polaris (North Star), Commercial Excellence, Sustainable Procurement, and Digitalization.
  • Manages effective internal client relationships up to the senior level and partner with HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence to gather and analyze information, define and document functional processes, and propose improvements needed to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Contributor and/or an expert on the development and implementation of optimum processes, procedures, methods and systems, and the deployment of the same through written procedures, guidelines, training, and effective metrics consistent with People & Culture guidance.
  • Demonstrates strategic leadership as an individual and as a team leader.  

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Stewards transformation of function’s culture consistent with North Star strategy and DE&I focus
  • Reset expectations for commercial acumen within the function as it relates to competencies and skills to ensure first quartile capability to enable management of the approximate $5billion in spend and achievement of $300+MM value target by 2025 associated with the Value Enhancement Program (VEP).
  • Demonstrate the ability to consult effectively with other functional areas and external consultancies to establish talent benchmarks specific to the function and corresponding roadmap to achieve industry leading performance.
  • Develop and implement process to for cross functional rotation via a newly branded Global Procurement function.
  • Manages all aspects of Intern/New grad University Hire program with focus on strengthening relationships with key universities across NA, EU and Asia.
  • Develop and digitize Talent of the Future training program, with focus on leadership, Commercial Excellence, Sustainability, and digitalization. 
  • Direct interface with HR BP for the function in all regions as it relates to process and system improvements for Talent & Culture. 
  • Support, develop or deliver communications related to implementation of new processes.
  • Manage relationships with senior leaders of Global Procurement function to establish a talent pipeline and identifying novel ways to stimulate organic growth and development.
  • Support Procurement leadership in targeted activities and employee development opportunities that will continuously improve strategic and operational capabilities.
  • Participates in discussions that require a high level of confidentiality.
  • Coordinate engagement activities across the function.
  • Champions diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and practices.

Min. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 15-20 years of experience.
  • Requires 10+ years of experience in industry related experience. Human Resources related experience is a plus. 
  • Comfort working and communicating with employees at all levels in geographically-dispersed business operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, with a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Interpersonal and negotiation skills centered on innovation and problem solving are key for this role. 
  • Comfortable manipulating and analyzing data, as well as making recommendations and decisions based on data.
  • Strong communication skills to include verbal, written, and interpersonal.
  • Creative problem solver with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Proficiency working independently in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • The ability to work with all levels of employees from front line employees to senior management.
  • Excellent team building skills, self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
