Basic Function

  • In alignment with Category Management, develops procurement strategies for regionally specific categories and tail spend initiatives to support company operations
  • Negotiates and implements multi-site or national sourcing strategies
  • Utilizes comprehensive and systemic market analysis to achieve lowest total cost and best total value to the company
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to assist in the achievement of site and business objectives
  • Execute the RFP/tender process, manage contract negotiations, work with LYB Legal to execute new LYB approved Agreements
  • Facilitate discussions with stakeholders and suppliers to ensures technical requirements are met
  • Responsible for tracking multiple KPI related to stakeholder engagement, strategy implementation, change management, spend analysis and operational progress on procurement execution
     

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Obtains and analyzes spend data/trends to identify and develop strategic sourcing initiatives 
  • Assesses risks and develops models associated with supply and technical compliance
  • Ensures the deployment of strategic purchasing plans driven by Global Procurement and Manufacturing objectives
  • Maintains focus on added value, total cost of ownership and cost savings
  • Implements KPIs to measure performance level of the sourcing strategies and supplier effectiveness
  • Maintain contract ownership of delegated outline agreements and manage accordingly
  • Promotes excellent working relationships with internal stakeholders and other supporting departments
  • Collaborates with site-based Procurement Specialists and corporate Category Managers in the implementation of sourcing initiatives
  • Maintain awareness of changing commodity-related business trends and the possible impact to the company
  • Support supplier continuous improvement initiatives including efforts to resolve supplier and site issues/disputes
  • Execute effective Supplier Relationship Management by building relationships with LYB business partners that help LYB achieve our goals
  • Develops effective working relationships with and routinely meets with site stakeholders on-site at the LYB Manufacturing facilities in the region

Min. Qualifications

  • Procurement/Supply Chain experience required
  • Bachelor's degree required (or recognized equivalent).
  • 5+ years related experience required with a degree (10+ years in lieu of a degree)

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Up to 30%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience using SAP ERP system preferred
  • Management experience preferred
