Basic Function
This position supports the Advanced Polymer Solutions (APS) Legal Department across various legal matters, ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making.
- Draft legal memoranda and reports on regulatory changes.
- Develop internal policies based on legal guidelines.
- Review, draft, and revise contracts and legal documents.
- Communicate with stakeholders to clarify contract terms.
- Maintain a centralized database of contracts for tracking.
- Organize documentation for legal matters, including emails, contracts, and reports.
- Assist with employment-related legal matters, including drafting templates, matter intake, and supporting responses to administrative, pre-dispute, and litigation claims.
- Assist with immigration matters, including visa applications and compliance tracking.
- Oversee garnishments and coordinate with payroll and HR.
- Gather information for pre-dispute and litigation matters, including document collection, factual analysis, and witness identification.
- Prepare and maintain legal hold notices for e-discovery compliance.
- Support due diligence and integration activities for mergers and acquisitions, including document gathering, and report and transaction document preparation.
- Maintain APS corporate subsidiary records, legal entity governance, and respond to document requests or subpoenas.
- Manage legal matters, including engagement letters and budget tracking.
Min. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and paralegal certification or equivalent credential.
- At least 10 years of paralegal experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.

- Comprehensive paralegal and legal support skills.
- Extensive transactional experience and in-house legal department exposure.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Initiative and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on confidentiality.
