Basic Function

This role will primarily be responsible for the company facing communications regarding Cybersecurity and IT policy requirements, awareness of external threats, and teaching the basic skills to securely use the company’s electronic assets.  The successful candidate will take ownership of Cybersecurity publications and produce easy to read user materials, explosive and dynamic presentations, as well as engaging education materials.  Lastly, this role will be able to learn all about the exciting world of cyber security, the administrative and financial support needed, and help everyone at LyondellBasell safe and secure, both in the office and at home.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist Security Awareness Lead in the coordination, maintenance, and/or development of security education and awareness content, using internally developed, instructor-led or electronic/web-based training formats for employees, contractors, executives, and technical personnel 
  • Build relationships with cross-departmental partners to improve the quality of security awareness training  
  • Perform security awareness live presentations, internal conferences, training sessions, and new hire orientations highlighting LYB policies, standards, processes, and procedures for digital protection 
  • Collaborate within other Global Business Services teams as well as with groups such as Global Security and Corporate Communications. 
  • Develop communications/alerts to stakeholders related to both internal and external security events 

Min. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems or a related field OR 4 or more years of relevant work experience developing and implementing technical education, awareness programs, or corporate communications.
  • Excellent communication skills, proofreading, and ability to effectively collaborate with senior staff and management 
  • Expert in publishing tools (Word, PowerPoint, Grammarly, etc.) 
  • Ability to develop creative and innovative solutions to complex security and risk-related issues  
  • Ability to speak to mid to large size groups presenting training and awareness 
  • Ability to navigate diverse global perspectives and promote an inclusive and collaborative environment 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in one or more of the following fields: IT, Cybersecurity, Corporate Communications, and/or Security Awareness Programs 
  • Knowledge of ISO, SOX or other security compliance frameworks will be considered a plus. 
  • Social media and marketing experience will be considered a plus 
  • Knowledgeable of IT Change Management processes and procedures will be considered a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work with technical subject matter experts, senior staff, and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • PMP, CISM, CISSP certifications (or progress toward them) will be considered a plus
