SAP Basis, Specialist

Basic Function

The SAP Basis Specialist is part of the SAP & Platform CoE organization and will be managing SAP On-Prem and Cloud applications applying DevOps techniques. Team composition includes employees and third-party partners.

The SAP Basis Specialist is well versed in SAP technologies and welcome new tools and techniques with primary focus on reliability, availability and operational excellence. Person in this role is always looking for patterns and ways to increase efficiency, eliminate downtimes, optimize costs, and maintain performance of SAP systems. The person will be part of a team and will work with other SAP Basis experts, leads and managers on day-to-day duties.

This is an individual contributor role with hands-on technical expertise to design, deploy, secure and optimize SAP operations services. SAP Basis expert must drive improvements in technical architecture, standards and process to deliver the best customer experience including service reliability, availability, optimizations, performance and scalability.

Roles & Responsibilities

• SAP Basis technical support, providing functional and reliable SAP environments for prototyping, development, integrated testing, training, and production SAP systems.
• Managing technology lifecycle (release, patching, etc.) to ensure secure, reliable, and optimized systems, that are in alignment with IT goals and compliance. 
• Ensuring that activities are conducted in compliance with policies, guidelines, procedures, work instructions, and internal controls. 
• Ensuring the availability, reliability and performance of SAP systems by being vigilant at all times.
• Help other team members for implementation, operation and maintenance of the SAP systems.

Min. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or Engineering with 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in managing SAP ECC, S/4 HANA, Fiori, BW, SCM/APO, NetWeaver ABAP/ JAVA, Enterprise Portal, PI/PO, Redwood, MS SQL, HANA Database, Linux & Windows. 
• Experience in SAP Single -Sign On, Web Dispatcher, Trex Administration, OpenText archiving, TOMCAT.
• Experience in managing SAP Cloud environments, such as BTP, Cloud Foundry, Fiori, Cloud Connector, Mobile Platform.
• Experience in addressing SAP Systems security vulnerabilities on day-to-day job.
• Experience in patching SAP systems, HANA databases, etc. 
• Experience in performance tuning of SAP systems and databases. 
• Develop and maintain system documentation for all SAP instances and interfaces.
• Experience in enterprise portal, Single -Sign On, Web Dispatcher
• Responsible for compliance with production change management processes and key controls for SOX.
• Handle day-to-day activities using DevOps methodology: prioritize work, ensuring on-time deliverables with quality.
