Basic Function

The Reporting & Data Visualization Analyst is a member of the Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS) team responsible for partnering with HR and the business to deliver reporting solutions, develop metrics and dashboards, and enable business insights. The selected candidate will have an advanced background in reporting, data analytics/visualization, and strong Power BI or Microsoft Excel skills including VB/Macros/Pivot Tables/Power Query. They will be able to consolidate and interpret large sets of data to draw insights and make recommendations to the HR team all while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support HR Reporting and Analytics activities.
  • Partner with stakeholders within HR and across business functions to design and develop operational HR reports by eliciting and documenting scope, processes, and requirements. 
  • Educate and train business users to leverage delivered reports, dashboards and connect to data while also providing best practices and design guidance to achieve data-driven decisions.
  • Consolidate and interpret large sets of data in such a way that meaningful information can be extrapolated and utilized for critical decision making by the business.
  • Perform research to identify data issues.
  • Develop/create solutions for managing data quality.
  • Investigate and resolve incidents reported by users. Identify opportunities to automate, consolidate and simplify reporting.
  • Understand complex business processes, propose Reporting and Analytics solutions as part of overall business process improvement.
  • Apply analytical methodologies to perform data analysis.
  • Clearly explain technical concepts to people with non-technical backgrounds.
  • Design and develop SAP SuccessFactors operational reports and support build-out of standard, user-friendly HR reporting portfolio.  
  • Leverage best practice technology solutions to create dashboards to visualize data using Report Center, Workforce Analytics (WFA), and People Story.
  • Work in cross-platform development and data integration across multiple varying data sources.
  • Analyze People data and participate in data integration projects to translate complex data from multiple sources into coherent reports and dashboards, highlighting key themes, findings, and business implications.
  • Build and publish customized interactive reports and dashboards using SAP SuccessFactors products, including:  Canvas/ORD reporting (including WFA) and People Analytics. 
  • Apply understanding of HR processes and experience with HR data models to group, filter and join data tables to streamline reports.
  • Performance-tune reporting queries and dashboards.

Min. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent knowledge and experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years working with and interpreting large data sets.
  • Demonstrated experience in advanced hands-on report design and development using applications such as Power BI and Excel.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions, challenge assumptions and gain consensus across diverse teams.
  • Ability to comprehend complex assignments quickly and use initiative to accomplish goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal capability.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication skills, and customer focus.
  • Languages English, additional language preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using SAP SuccessFactors suite.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating dashboards, and building/publishing customized interactive reports to visualize data using Canvas/ORD reporting (including WFA) and People Analytics.
