Basic Function

Provides security, safety, and emergency response services to the facility on a 24/7 basis.  The position performs plant security, safety, and emergency response duties as required to protect facility personnel and assets.  

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Performing security duties to include protecting company assets and responding to security threats.  Responds to security and other related plant emergencies to include fires, spills, gas release, rescue, and medical emergencies.   
  • Enforcement of security processes and procedures to include facility entry requirements
  • Advanced use of computers to prepare and complete reports, perform data entry, and operate access control and security systems  
  • Patrolling site facilities to include company buildings, perimeter fence lines, and public roadways as assigned 
  • Recognizing, reporting, and taking actions to prevent hazards
  • Monitoring and operating dispatch, communication, emergency notification, security monitoring, and fire/hazard systems as assigned 
  • Provision of advanced investigative and follow-up services and reporting as required 
  • Training and education of Security Representatives 
  • Performing duties as per Facility Security Plan (FSP). 
  • Project administration skills necessary to implement processes and procedures. 
  • Facility safety and emergency response performance.
  • Security loss prevention and safety performance.
  • Accurate and proper plant refinery communications for routine and emergency situations. 
  • Security loss prevention and safety performance.
  • Security personnel performance during routine and emergency operations. 
  • Security personnel performance during routine and emergency operations.
  • Regulatory compliance with internal and agency audits and inspections. 
  • Performance and quality of care.
  • Support of good case management.
  • Coordination of security on shift to include providing leadership and coaching to less experiences personnel.  
  • Responsible for after hour’s medical care and evaluation.

Min. Qualifications

  • Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic level EMS certification is required.
  • Must have eight (8) years professional experience of which two (2) must be in law enforcement, security, emergency response, or safety.  
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
  • Ability to attain and maintain additional Department of Homeland Security or other regulatory required qualifications, certifications, or licenses as required. 
     

Preferred Qualifications
