Marketing Communications Associate Advisor

This position will be part of the Marketing Communications team to develop and edit content to be used across all channels (e-mail, web, social media, blogs, editorials, advertorials, marcom materials, and testimonials). Will actively lead brainstorming sessions and creative development efforts to drive strong conceptual solutions and consult with subject matter experts to obtain, develop and clarify technical information related to products and services. Must shift copywriting approach, as appropriate, for all media, as well as drive and manage an overall copy strategy to ensure the consistent voice is applied to all mediums. Also, this position will be expected to coordinate various marketing communications tradeshows and events. 

Day in the Life:

• Ability to effectively and persuasively present complex information in a simple, easily understandable way.
• Must be able to incorporate SEO best practices into digital and web-based copy.
• Ability to produce copy that reflects brand principles (voice, tone).
• Help develop materials and other content for various marketing communication tools that deliver key messages in a compelling, concise manner.  
• Coordinates with other contributors to ensure consistency in style, tone, and quality. Ensures that all materials meet established content and brand standards.
• Works with little direction, knowing the goals and performing self-directed research.
• Proven ability to produce copy that engages, builds relationships and encourages taking action.
• Assist in the coordination of tradeshows and conferences including message and graphics creation, literature requests and booth logistics in order to gain a basic understanding of event coordination.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and works on multiple tasks with a variety of departments, divisions and team members.
• Support integrated marketing communications plans and strategic messaging. 
• Assist with projects from start to finish with client and cross departmental interaction.
• Develop effective messaging for marketing literature, product advertisements and customer newsletters. 
• Participate in initiative to revise current content and produce new content for use on LYB.com.
• Help transition analog material to the digital world. 
• Liaise with graphic designers to influence and guide the creative direction. 
• Proofreads Marketing Communication materials and enhances presentations intended for mass audience consumption (webinars, conferences, etc.).

You Bring This Value:

• Four-year college degree (Marketing, Communications, Journalism or English). 
• At least 3-5 years of related experience required.
• Excellent English writing/editing capabilities and familiarity with AP Style.
• Experience in producing effective written internal and external communications. for brochures, advertisements, electronic newsletters, websites, etc. 
• Working knowledge of the following software and platforms:

>Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

>Salesforce

>Adobe Acrobat Pro

>Adobe Illustrator 

>SharePoint

>Brandfolder

• This job may require some travel.
• Petrochemical, oil/gas, polymer industry experience a plus.
