Basic Function
The Manager, Master Data North America (NA) is a regional leadership position within the Global Business Processes & Systems Solutions (BPSS) organization reporting under the Global Supply Chain. As a member of our dynamic global BPSS team in this contributing through others role, you will be responsible for leading and motivating the Master Data specialists and consultants to provide excellent service in a manner that is efficient and seamless. The Master Data team core task is to have the Master Data up to business requirements but plays a very important role in supporting a large number of LYB processes through advise and data organization work. You will have regular contact with the other global Master Data managers, the business and have a strong relationship with the Global Master Data Governance Team.
This position requires thorough global understanding of and experience with SAP Customer and Material Master Data structures and processes and is responsible for the managing people and processes necessary to achieve best in class Master Data processes and procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage Master Data specialist and consultant team to support any requests from internal client groups regarding complex Master Data Requests and New Plant set-ups.
- Act as a liaison with Account Specialists, Planning, Asset Managers, Marketing Managers, Technical Services, Credit, Product Safety, Quality, and other internal groups to support Master Data request and provide them with tactical, analytical and strategic support as well as explanation of the role of the Master Data team.
- Review and align on global topics and projects with other regional MD managers and Enterprise Governance team on governance team.
- Proper team management (processes, procedures understanding, Talent Management, Goals management, workload prioritization and management)
- Management of requests and SOX requirements including Internal Audit, Internal Controls, SAP Securityand participate in quarterly User Acceptance Reviews (UAR)
- Perform monthly/quarterly checks according to key controls in ARCHER and make sure all changes are reflected in ARCHER
- Role owner for master data specific roles in SAP ECC according to guidliens from Internal Controls and Security team.
- Advise and support technology improvement efforts to create efficient master data processes.
- Monitor key metrics to support organizational goals and drive metrics to meet or exceed designated targets.
- Lead change implementation for extended system improvements or other Master Data projects.
Min. Qualifications
Education:
- Whereas a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Will consider candidates with a High School Diploma that have at least 8 years’ relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
Work Experience:
- The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years’ experience in Supply Chain, manufacturing or other related experience.
- Experience with ERP software such as SAP is required.
- The ideal candidate will have managerial courage as well as the desire to grow and develop people.
- The ideal candidate will have demonstratable leadership experience (either managerial experience or through cross-functions projects).
- Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, particularly in business writing with a focus on concise and accurate documentation.
- Demonstratable ability to perform in a fast-paced environment that requires rapid decision-making and task delegation with immediate impact on business results.
Skills:
- Ability to effectively analyze large amounts of data and summarize the key outcomes to stakeholders (Experience in process design and implementation within a financial software package (ideally SAP))
- Demonstratable ability to think systemically, which may include change management and ability to view processes and ideas from a broader perspective.
- Anticipates potential objections and persuades others to adopt a different point of view.
- Ability to work independently with guidance only in the most complex situations.
- Ability to anticipate internal and or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues; recommends process improvements.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently within challenging deadlines and maintain alignment with all key stakeholders.
- Composed in time-sensitive situations, comfortable delivering difficult news.
- Demonstrated experience in process management and statistical techniques (e.g. Key Performance Indicators and benchmarking).
- Strong skills in SAP, Power BI, and minimum basic knowledge of other tools like GTS, LIMS, PLM, IBP, PRISM (NA), CHARM, Archer etc.
