Basic Function:

The Manager, Retirement Plans has responsibility for managing the operations, administration, communications of the company’s U.S. and Canadian retirement plans. This position will also work closely with the Sr. Manager, Global Pension and Benefits to develop global retirement plans strategy and to ensure the seamless delivery and effectiveness of global financial wellness programs.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be process oriented and possess timely project management skills. They will provide strong collaborative support to internal departments, external vendors and retirement plan participants. They should be proactive and able to work both independently or on small teams to deliver successful outcomes. They also will have a strong understanding of labor laws, regulations, and company policies related to retirement plans.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage, evaluate and optimize third-party vendor relationships. 
  • Direct and support global retirement plans strategy and global financial wellness programs.
  • Coordinate and oversee day-to-day retirement plan operations.
  • Collaborate with other benefits staff to develop and enhance plan-specific communications.
  • Identify/develop best practices ensuring plan compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Participate and complete the annual audits of the retirement plans.
  • Develop/maintain metrics and periodic reporting for global retirement plan governance.

Min. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, mathematics, business or related field of study, or equivalent years of experience
  • Outsourced administration management experience or experience with a consulting firm delivering outsourced administration, actuarial or related services
  • Strong program and vendor performance management, cost-benefit analysis and budget management experience
  • Proactive with strong project management skills
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience with pension plans and savings plans

Preferred Requirements

  • Benefits, compensation, or actuarial or similar designations and/or advance degree in human resources, mathematics, business or related field of study
  • Experience with benefits accounting
  • Experience supporting financial wellness programs
