Basic Function

The Manager, HR Reporting & People Analytics is responsible for providing centralized, consistent and accurate workforce data to both HR and the business functions to meet their day-to-day business needs and drive more strategic decisions. The Manager, HR Reporting & People Analytics leads a team responsible for partnering with HR and the business functions to deliver reporting solutions, develop metrics and dashboards, and enable business insights. 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Establish and execute the overall strategy for employee data at the company. This includes data governance practices, tools, technology and the team required to provide actionable information and insights about our people to drive a rewarding employee experience, and business success.
  • Partner closely with business and HR Leaders, IT, and other functions to build the systems infrastructure required to collect and analyze HR data, offer actionable analysis and reporting to managers and executives.
  • Interface with HR and other business functions to enable them to meet their business objectives through data and analytics.
  • Provide strategic support to the HR function in the areas of people metrics and reporting.
  • Build partnerships and work closely with IT and vendors to deliver tools and system solutions
  • Lead, manage and coach the global HR Reporting & People Analytics team by providing day-to day guidance and development.
  • Ensure the HR Reporting & People Analytics team:
    • Identifies and supports HR and business reporting and data needs.
    • Designs and implements self-service reporting tools and data management 
    • Leverage best practice technology solutions to create dashboards to visualize data using Report Center, Workforce Analytics (WFA), People Story and Power BI.
    • Develop and deliver a regular cadence of operating metrics related to the employee life cycle
    • Interprets employee data to identify significant differences, relationships, and trends in data
    • Establish the strategy for technology and analytical tools to develop and analyze enterprise-wide people and other cross-functional data as needed.
    • Serve as the domain expert for human resources data and analytics.
    • Serve as an active participant on cross-functional project teams and provide guidance and training to teams.
    • Clearly tie People analytics to business objectives and outcomes.
    • Investigate and resolve incidents reported by users.  Identify opportunities to automate, consolidate and simplify reporting.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts across HR service areas to promote data governance and stewardship, data quality and advancement of HR technology capabilities.
    • Perform data quality reviews utilizing quality assurance methods to identify problems and errors.

Min. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years’ experience in human resources.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct management experience or leading global projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategy in large multi-national, complex organizations.
  • Excellent consultative skills, understanding business needs and translating those needs to requirements. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong creative problem solving with ability to craft tailored solutions to meet the wide range of business needs across the organization.
  • Experience working with, influencing, and presenting findings to senior level stakeholders.
  • Ability to work successfully in a matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines. 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution.
  • Highly self-motivated, driven work ethic, keen attention to detail and exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Experience demonstrating exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive people data and business issues. 
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and manage sound governance practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as an HR Business Partner supporting senior leaders a plus
  • Prior experience leading data and/or reporting teams
  • Experience with HR data, HRMS/HRIS systems experience 
  • Experience using SAP SuccessFactors, Workday or PeopleSoft
  • Experience using Qualtrics
  • Data visualization and Power BI skills 
  • Prior experience successfully managing 3rd party vendor relations
