Come Join an Inclusive Team

Serve as the primary resource for environmental waste and water environmental issues, providing managerial oversight for the Environmental Management Standard and compliance programs. Collaborate with manufacturing stakeholders to identify regulatory solutions, manage changes to systems, and to improve efficiency of compliance requirements. Represent the enterprise on water and waste environmental issues with external stakeholders. Provide guidance on critical environmental waste and water issues and notification through alerts and interpretations of environmental issues as necessary. Provide support, guidance and analysis for mergers, acquisitions and divestiture activities as needed.

A Day in the Life:

  • Support Environmental Management Systems (EMS) improvements related to waste and water in manufacturing sites
  • Support sustainability reporting with waste and water data focus
  • Maintain third party waste management vendor program
  • Provide expertise in waste classification and evaluation of steams, inclusive of recycling and alternate use programs
  • Lead environmental compliance and EMS audits
  • Primary corporate environmental site contact for select manufacturing sites
  • Monitor environmental legislative and regulatory developments and communicate them clearly and effectively to the organization
  • Provide consultation and strategic support for managing environmental liabilities associated with mergers and acquisitions, as needed
  • Take a lead role in determining regulatory alternatives for critical environmental projects. Negotiate cost effective solutions based on risk-based science.
  • Work closely with the Global Project Organization on large capital projects
  • Participate and, in some cases, lead relevant Trade Association activities as a company representative
  • Provide forums, as necessary, to facilitate the sharing of environmental and HSE best practices across the organization

You Bring This Value :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.  Chemical Engineering degree is preferred 
  • A minimum of fifteen years’ relevant experience in environmental engineering in an industrial setting. 
  • Recognized industry expert exhibiting specialized skills in the area of environmental management systems, permitting, compliance and management of critical waste and water environmental issues. 
  • Manufacturing experience a must. 
  • US drinking water standards, PFAS management, wetlands management, MSGP preparation, waste water permitting, waste classification and waste disposal experience required.
