This role contributes to deliver value and drive excellence in the following areas:
- Performance Plan
- Corporate Financial Analysis and Reporting;
- Supporting the strategy for the standardized use of OneStream.
This role has a vital role in supporting the OneStream strategy, the annual Performance Plan, forecasting process, allocation process and providing insightful analysis on the corporate and fixed costs forecast, special projects, strategic initiatives and ad hoc support. This position engages with and provides management reports, presentations, and analyses to the Finance and Business Leadership teams. This position requires close interaction and collaboration with the Segment Controlling, Fixed Costs Controlling and Manufacturing Controlling organizations as well as various Corporate Functions and IT system support team.
This role reports to the Head of FP&A.
A Day in the Life
- Prepare and/or review financial reporting package and analyses
- Support monthly global forecasting process. Coordinate with Segment Controlling, Fixed Costs Controlling and Supply Chain/Manufacturing Controlling organizations as well as various Corporate Functions to ensure timely and accurate submission of forecast data.
- Collect, consolidate and upload Corporate Function forecast data to forecasting system (OneStream).
- Review forecast outputs to ensure data accuracy and perform variance analysis.
- Provide support in annual Performance Plan process including allocations and costs controlling.
- Review submissions to ensure the quality of data and analyses. Research data discrepancies, and follow up with functional groups when necessary.
- Lead and/or actively be involved in other initiatives and cross-functional projects to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies in FP&A and other Finance processes.
- Responsible for data integrity in forecasting system (OneStream). Coordinate with IT system support team to troubleshoot as needed.
- Maintain and optimize models/templates to continuously improve effectiveness and efficiencies in Corporate FP&A.
- Assist in ad-hoc requests, such as evaluating new benchmarks, key metrics, and variance analysis and internal reporting needs.
- Support the finance organization to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.
This role requires strong analytical skills and a finance background to innovate process best practices and manage the implementation process.
You Bring This Value
- Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related business degree with ideally 10+ years’ relevant FP&A, corporate finance, business services, accounting, or other analytical experience required.
- CFA/CPA/MBA preferred.
- Good understanding in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g. SAP, OneStream) and business intelligence (BI) software.
- FP&A experience with strong analytical skills is desired.
- Demonstrate analytical skills and business acumen, including the ability to identify and understand key business drivers in the petrochemical manufacturing industry.
- Strong ability to manage process changes with finance project management and implementation experience is a big plus.
- A self-starter with ability to shape decisions; engage with stakeholders; and rally support to drive operational and reporting excellence.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage interfaces and build solid relationships with all key stakeholders. Includes being sensitive to, and effective at, operating across different functional areas, organizations and cultures.
