The Manager of Finance Projects is responsible for supporting, assisting and providing oversight to ensure the successful execution of various Record to Report (RTR) global projects through coordination with Finance, ITS and Business organizations.  This role may be asked to lead projects and facilitate and promote continuous improvement, prioritization, digitization, and effective project management within the Global E2E R2R cycle to ensure business results are achieved.  

 

This role reports to the Global Process Owner of Record to Report.

A Day In The Life:

  • Support the Record to Report (R2R) Global Process Owner (GPO) in managing the Business Process Governance for various functions within R2R
  • Establish the agenda, prepare the necessary materials, mange action plans and facilitate monthly R2R GPO Committee meetings.
  • Understand the compliance requirements or business objectives of projects in the R2R portfolio and provide leadership support in project meetings with the Information Technology Services (ITS) organization and the business to align objectives and provide clear system solutions that meet the needs of the project.
  • Maintain operating rigor around projects, keeping Global Process Owner and other stakeholders abreast of status.
  • Perform assurance-type work by performing walkthroughs with process owners to gain an understanding of the company’s current processes and identify areas of improvements.
  • Facilitate the design and development of processes across Finance by working with groups on understanding and documenting their L3 and L4 processes
  • Perform process assessments within Finance and create detailed Visio process maps for current and future states to aid in identifying and understanding pain points, areas for efficiencies / automation and standardization needs 
  • Provide management with improved process recommendations that will result in increased process standardization and automation. 
  • Assist the R2R Outsource Provider with recommendations for process improvements and resourcing the initiatives.
  • Provide on-going coaching and development to business leads and project owners.

You Bring This Value:

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in roles related to accounting, process management, internal audit, internal controls or project management, required.
  • Chartered Accountant or CPA is preferred.
  • Both public accounting and corporate industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Effective collaboration and communication with various departments throughout the organization.
  • Must be willing and able to create change and develop processes through indirect reporting relationships.
  • Beneficial experience includes:
  • Highly organized with strong project management and problem solving skills
  • SAP or Business Warehouse (BW) reporting.
  • Working knowledge of RTR process management or similar accounting functions.
  • Knowledge of internal controls and SOX requirements.
  • Experience presenting to management.
