Basic Function

The primary mission of the Lead Global Sales Analyst (LGSA) is to provide high quality analytical support to assess the overall performance of the sales function, and the effectiveness and efficiency of the key commercial processes on a global basis. 

 

Liaising with the regional sales analysts, the LGSA tracks key performance indicators and identifies continuous improvement opportunities through appropriate and relevant industry benchmarks that help the Sales leaders in their pursuit of sales excellence, helping the team become and remain the leading sales organization in the industry, while maximizing sales revenues and profitability.

 

A successful LGSA will be able to track performance and process improvement development, providing transparency over performance drivers. Leveraging her/his strategic thinking skills, she/he will use her/his insights to help inform strategic decisions and recommend the most leveraging initiatives in support of the same.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple systems to collate, analyze and report on sales data and metrics to help understand sales performance, customer trends and demand developments
  • Design, implement and maintain relevant sales scorecards that help management track organizational and process improvements
  • Create and maintain reports that provide transparency and actionable insights
  • Evaluate and predict sales trends using various relevant criteria (product, geography, industry, end use, account, customer category, etc.)
  • Design and help carry out sales benchmarking studies to identify gaps and areas for improvement
  • Provide analytical insights to help design and implement sales process improvement initiatives and cross-regional harmonization
  • Coordinate and support execution of the customer survey and NPS tracking program
  • Maintain and regularly re-evaluate customer classification and tiering
  • Act as the global I&D Contract Coordinator, maintaining the I&D Contract Portfolio dashboard and ensuring implementation of Contract Management processes
  • Act as the go-to person and key interface for other relevant functions as they collaborate and interact with Sales: Business Finance, Credit, Supply Chain, Digital/IT, etc.
  • Interface and collaborate with the IBP Demand Manager on sales funnel data management and gatekeeping
  • Knowledgeable in CRM systems, be the focal point for SalesForce.com and other Sales-relevant tools and systems in support to the introduction and the application to Sales of new digital processes and solutions

Min. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Economics, Science/Engineering, Finance/Accounting, or related fields
  • 6+ years of experience in roles with high analytics content, combined with business interfacing (e.g. Controlling, Credit Management, Supply Chain, Marketing analysis, Procurement)
  • Data literacy, defined as the ability to read, write and communicate data in context
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving ability
  • Flawless oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to details and structured work methods
  • Multitasking skills, combined with ability to prioritize
  • Be proactive, well organized, and able to handle work under stressful and uncertain environments with minimum guidance 
  • Familiarity with business intelligence software
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM (preferably SalesForce.com) software 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in customer interfacing roles, such as customer service  
  • Has worked in multi-national companies, exposed to a multicultural environment
  • Chemical industry experience
