Lead Analyst Finance Business Intelligence

The Finance Data Analytics and Automation (DA&A) Team leverages the power of data, analytics, robotics, process mining and reporting to generate insights which facilitates better decision-making and value creation. The team also governs and supports key financial reporting systems used by Finance and will act as focal point in strategic initiatives / projects. The Lead Analyst, Finance Business Intelligence will report to the Manager, Finance Business Intelligence and will be a core member of the OneStream Projects and Development group. The OneStream Projects and Development group delivers technical leadership for ongoing enhancements of applications used in financial reporting such as OneStream, SAP BW/BPC, and CCERT. The Lead Analyst will interact with vendor(s) on design of the OneStream application, provide training to OneStream users, and advise on new features of OneStream to be considered for future implementations or enhancements. Additionally, they will assist the OneStream Center of Excellence (COE) team with the management and governance of the OneStream application. The Lead Analyst will support COE team efforts related to the OneStream Community of Practice (CoP) and super-user group. This role will also contribute to the development of any ongoing OneStream applications. The Lead Analyst will have the additional opportunity to learn and technically support the automation and analytical tools used by DA&A like RPA, Alteryx, Automation Anywhere, Microsoft Power Platform, Celonis, and Azure SQL.

Day in the Life:

• Stay up to date with Business Intelligence and related tools such as OneStream, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform, and Azure.
• Stay up to date with Corporate Management Systems like OneStream and SAP BW. Also be familiar with and able to leverage knowledge of other technologies such as Intelligent Automation, process mining, and data & analytics.
• Must have experience working in OneStream or a comparable CPM system with direct experience working in modeling, reporting, visualization, and dashboarding. OneStream implementation, consolidation, and/or FP&A experience is a plus.
• Must have experience working with teams from different groups / vendors spread across different geographical locations, with varying levels of familiarity with OneStream.
• Must be able to review the design and implementation proposals recommended by external vendor keeping system performance and data quality in mind.
• Should be able to help explore and implement OneStream Marketplace solutions like AcctRecs, Transaction Matching, ACM and others.
• Should have knowledge of SQL and VB scripting; at least within the confines of the OneStream application.
• Working experience with Power BI is preferred; must have a desire to develop this skill set.
• Must be able to assist in the development of training materials and teach new users in OS COE group on basics-to-advanced OneStream processes / concepts.
• Would act as OneStream subject matter expert (SME) for LYB OneStream COE and extended peer group, including the OneStream Community of Practice (CoP).
• Should be able to help with OneStream Support activities related to Month End Close including monitoring loads, updating transformation mappings, running ad hoc loads and data management jobs.
• Nice to have knowledge related to FP&A processes like monthly forecasting, budgeting and management reporting.
• Must have experience with company consolidation of financials.
• Experience with end-user support / request prioritization using tools like ServiceNow and Azure DevOps (ADO) is a plus.
• Nice to have OneStream and/or HFM Expertise.
• Must have knowledge of various OneStream functionalities including data integration, Workflows, Business rules, Data Source, Transformations, Dimensions, Member Filters, Cube Views, Quick Views, XF get cell, Dashboards and various other administrative functions (including OS security).
• Must have OneStream knowledge on advanced Member Filters, Dynamic Calculations and Formatting settings for Cube Views, BI Viewer and advanced Components, Dashboard Layouts and Embedded Dashboards, and OneStream features used in Report Books.
• Must have experience with OneStream Finance Engine including Dynamic Calculations, Stored Calculations and Finance Business Rules.
• Must have experience designing and implementing Dashboards in Onstream with advanced data queries, Business Rules and Workspaces.
• Must be very comfortable with the concepts of a Dashboard Maintenance Unit, using Business Rules such as Dashboard Extenders, XFBR Strings and / or Dashboard Data Sets, advanced Dashboard Components and SQL data queries.

You Bring This Value:

• BS Accounting, Finance, MIS, or related Degree.
• 6-8 years of experience.
• CPA or similar accreditation is a plus.
• Strong Project Management skills.
• Deep OneStream knowledge.
• Technical SQL and VB scripting knowledge.
• Understanding of FP&A and / or Consolidations processes.
• Presentation skills, including the ability to break down complicated subjects and explain them succinctly to non-experts and project leadership.
• SAP Experience is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communications with the ability to explain technical concepts in business terms.
• Experience working with geographically diverse, cross-functional, and technical teams.
• Chemical industry experience / knowledge is beneficial.
