Lead Accountant, Consolidations and Internal Reporting

Basic Function

As part of the finance organization, this position reports into the Senior Manager, Consolidations and Internal Reporting. The principal responsibilities for the Consolidations and Internal Reporting Lead Accountant will include analysis and review of results as well as preparation of key financial statements, and significant use of the SAP and OneStream applications. This role will be heavily involved in any major projects, such as ERP go live topside pushdown efforts and any changes in the organizational structure that impact the Consolidated financial statements.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation of financial statements including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, EBITDA flash and other key financial statements. 
  • Assist with tasks specific to the close and consolidation processes, such as intercompany out of balances.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly variance analysis.
  • Assist with preparation of various internal management reporting and analysis, including supplemental schedules provided to external reporting. 
  • Assist in testing for system upgrades and any changes in the corporate structure which may impact the consolidation. 
  • Assist with integration of any future acquisitions as it relates to the close and consolidation processes.
  • Works with team to ensure validity of financial records through identifying, investigating, and resolving discrepancies. 
  • Works with the group in monitoring and maintenance of the consolidations and internal reporting processes to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. 
  • Provide leadership on teams and assist on various project assignments that support corporate initiatives. 
  • Create and maintain system reports that facilitate analytical and other business requirements. 
  • Ensure compliance with accounting and reporting standards.
  • Acts as a lead in driving process improvement.
  • Participate in various project assignments that support corporate initiatives.

Min. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with a major in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 8 years of financial accounting experience. 
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP essential.  
  • Working experience with Microsoft Office suite. 
  • Ability to multi-tasks and management changing priorities. 
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with various departments throughout the organization.
  • A self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and ability to work within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to use rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems and provide effective solutions.
  • This position requires overtime during various times of the month/year.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working experience with Hyperion (HFM), OneStream, and SAP preferred.
  • Professional Accounting Certification or advanced degree is preferred. 
  • Big 4 or mid-tier Public Accounting experience is preferred.
