Basic Function

 

The Sr.IT Product Analyst holds a functional expert position within LYB’s Source to Pay (S2P) Product Team which is responsible for the strategy, architecture, design, development, delivery and operations of LyondellBasell’ s (LYB's) global S2P applications. These applications support all major aspects of Source to Pay processes of LYB’s $40 billion business. In this role, the Sr. IT Product Analyst is responsible for delivery of global solutions within the supported S2P process areas. Focus areas include SAP MM Procure to Pay, Procurement, Ariba cloud solutions, SRM, CONCUR, Fieldglass, ReadSoft and other Source to Pay (S2P) Functions and platforms.  

This position engages with a global team of highly effective Product Analysts, solution architects, global process owners, technical staff and other partners to design and deliver quality, integrated end to end solutions, lead major projects and provide oversight for enhancements. He /she also may play a key role in S2P related workstreams associated with merger & acquisition initiatives. 

This position reports to the ITS Product Team Manager, Source to Pay and is located in LyondellBasell Tower – Houston and offers a competitive base salary, bonus, generous benefits package, pension plan and employee discounts.

Roles & Responsibilities

 

The Sr. IT Product Analyst anticipates business needs and proactively provides aligned alternatives. The position requires interaction with stakeholders and some leaders in the company, utilizing business aptitude, analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and facilitate decisions.  Will need to have some flexibility to work outside the standard 8 AM – 5 PM working hours to facilitate and drive the project completion with our US, EU and Asia stakeholders. Involves active, hands-on participation with diverse, regional and global IT teams to ensure quality and accuracy in IT spend forecasts.

 

A high level summary of your tasks in this position are:

 

  • Work closely with the Applications Leadership and other ITS and business partners to develop SAP strategy in support of overall business strategy and goals. 
  • Lead team members in solution development, design and architectural processes. 
  • Contribute to strategic decision making around Ariba, SRM and SAP technology advancements such as S4HANA and other cloud based solutions. 
  • Manage within an organizational structure supporting quality delivery in a cost-effective manner. This will consist of a mix of employees, contractors, delivery partners and offshore resources. 
  • As assigned, lead the applications project team managing day-to-day aspects of designated programs and projects including solutioning, delivery, support, continuous improvement, development, upgrades, and enhancements. 
  • Engage with broader integration team on S2P applications work associated with merger and acquisition initiatives. 
  • Responsible for defining and collaborating with other teams on the strategic roadmap for S2P solutions for LYB.
  • Manage the delivery of Statement of Work (SOW) engagements with major partners such as SAP, SAP Ariba and Top Four and boutique consulting firms. 
  • Consistently strive for best practices in performance and talent management. 
  • Provides thought leadership, mentorship, and forum leadership in the areas of responsibility.

Min. Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or related field preferred. 
  • 8+ years SAP functional and technical experience in the Sourcing, Procurement and Accounts Payables domains. 
  • Experience in SAP Ariba implementations and integrations with SAP ECC. 
  • Expertise in integrating cloud solutions with on-prem SAP ECC, MD and other S2P solutions.
  • Strong experience in design and implementation of interfaces between SAP Modules and third parties
  • History including 3+ years leading project teams focused on development. 
  • Proven background in large scale SAP project delivery and maintenance and support. 
  • Capability to envision, architect and deliver quality integrated solutions consisting of SAP and non-SAP applications. 
  • Strong leadership, time management, communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills. 
  • Track record of leadership and achievement of objectives through team. 
  • Ability to communicate highly technical information in an understandable manner. 
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience in working in large international project teams including offshore delivery. 
  • Experience delivering Product Oriented solutions adopting Agile Practices
