Basic Function

The IT Principal Product Analyst, Produce to Deliver is a senior role within the Information Technology organization and is a key position in the discovery and delivery of business solutions from information technology. The IT Principal Product Analyst, Produce to Deliver, through continuous consultation with the functional areas, has a deep understanding of business operations and is capable of articulating solutions in business language. They are capable of envisioning potential value for new IT solutions.  While an IT Principal Product Analyst, Produce to Deliver has a deep understanding of specific business areas, that expertise is set into a broader context of understanding of the business processes and technical capabilities that may cross functional boundaries.


The IT Principal Product Analyst, Produce to Deliver is an individual contributor will be part of a Global team who is responsible for helping with gathering of business requirements for complex business processes, propose standard out of the box solutions and perform functional development configuration steps, to ensure business objectives are met by the new IT solutions.  The IT Principal Product Analyst, Produce to Deliver advocates for their clients and acts as the single point of contact for adherence of Governance and Risk Controls, incident management, new services, and resource allocation. The IT Principal Product Analyst, Produce to Deliver should be able to influence key stakeholders with value-based solutions, Coach the IT and business teams and challenge them to build best of the breed solutions. IT Principal Product Analyst, Produce to Deliver must ensure the full systems lifecycle process is adhered to, overseeing solutions through the entire implementation process and validate the adoption of applications.


The IT Principal Product Analyst, Produce to Deliver must have strong influencing skills and must frequently overcome the status quo or replace legacy applications.  The ability to communicate differential value and a viable transition path is critical to ensure positive change.

Roles & Responsibilities

This senior level position reports to the Product Team Manager, Produce to Deliver and will be responsible for guiding specific business units products.


This individual will partner with global cross-functional teams to develop business segment roadmaps, short and long term project plans and identify technology trends.   The position interfaces frequently with business leadership, and will build and maintain relationships.

  • Increase the value realized by the business from IT Products throughout the life cycle of the product 
  • Provide timely and effective conceptual solutions that provide the framework for subsequent detail design work.

  • Identify project interrelationships that will affect portfolio priority and resource allocation decisions
  • Increase the IT savvy of business partners over time to encourage higher value demand
  • Responsible for representing the capabilities of IT supply to encourage the understanding of and adherence to standards that create enterprise-wide value or protect the enterprise brand, including:
    • architectural standards
    • security, risk, and privacy standards as well as regulatory compliance 
    • data standards that increase the asset value of enterprise data

Min. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Business or equivalent work experience required
  • 10+ years' experience in designing and building best practice Produce Deliver Business Solutions
  • Full lifecycle implementations with SAP and/or Non-SAP Transportation Modules 
  • Experience in effort estimation, building and managing project plans and test plans
  • Experience with Order to Cash solutions with strong knowledge in shipping, transportation, yard management, freight based applications
  • Specific experience in consignment, intercompany and intracompany movements and shipment visibility tools
  • Ability to interact with multiple technical teams, architecture team and business process leads to build end to end business solutions
  • Very strong experience in designing, configuring SAP and Non–SAP based systems
  • Very strong experience in understanding SAP User exits, IDOCS, XMLS and other interfaces and integrating data into data lakes to build analytics solutions
  • Deep functional knowledge relevant platforms and supported technology
  • SAP Supply Chain experience focusing on produce to deliver including SAP Transportation Management and exposure to shipment track and trace applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other advanced degree is an advantage.
  • Deep knowledge of the Chemical Manufacturing industry is a plus.

 

This position conducts business in more than one country or in areas/communities that have strong, unique ethnic/cultural traditions. Domestic and international travel of 10-20% is anticipated.
