Basic Function

he primary responsibility of the function is to act as the business owner for HSES systems, driving consistent implementation, ensuring efficient and effective usage and identifying improvement opportunities which help to improve overall HSES performance. This function owns the HSES Systems configuration, works with IT to improve or fix the solution to match the agreed business rules and preferred practices. 

Roles & Responsibilities

•Facilitate agreement of changes/additions to the business rules and preferred practices of HSES system usage between all stakeholders, understanding the corporate requirements which require consistency and the possible level of flexibility
•Define solutions, in cooperation with IT, which are optimal between costs, sustainability, and usability
•Validate the proper functioning of the solution before implementation (piloting, develop test scripts, testing)
•Document the business rules and preferred practices of HSES system usage and create training material 
•Drive the acceptance and good usage of the solution through appropriate change management (training, marketing, communication, …)
•Gather data, analyze and report on HSES Systems to identify trends and leading indicators which help to improve overall HSES performance 
•Keep in frequent contact with client base, understand defects and/or new requirements. Drive closure of defects and facilitate agreement on new requirements between the stakeholders.

Min. Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required.  Engineering or process related degree preferred. 

Work Experience: 
1.    8+ years chemical manufacturing experience (site) 
2.    Working knowledge of the manufacturing/HSE processes such as incident reporting, investigation or management of change processes.
3.    “Super User” role. Proven experience as an expert user of an IT application
4.    Project lead, initiative lead or similar. Proven facilitative skills; reaching agreement amongst different stakeholders

Languages:
1.    English
