Basic Function

The Specialist, HR Operational Excellence is responsible for driving the consistent implementation and measurement of HR standards, processes, preferred practices and guidelines. This position will partner with HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence to gather and analyze information, define and document business processes, and propose improvements needed to enable efficient operations. This role will support the implementation and development of a platform for knowledge sharing across HR.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Meet with various stakeholders to gather and analyze information about critical business processes
  • Support Global Process Owners in developing standards, processes, preferred practices, guidelines, etc.
  • In collaboration with Global Process Owners and impacted users, diagnose standardization level needed –ranging from policy to philosophy
  • Proactively engage and advise present and future stakeholders in design, priority setting, and implementation
  • Review, organize and manage process documents
  • Present information intuitively in the knowledge management platform
  • Conduct audits and assessments to ensure consistent application of the HR processes and to determine the effectiveness of the system in-place. Coordinate and integrate data and analyses for opportunity and performance review
  • Work closely with Global Process Owners to document clear business requirements to support improvement opportunities
  • Identify, document, and analyze business rules, regulations, guidance and policies that govern the implementation of business processes; ensure that proposed processes do not conflict with other processes across the function or organization
  • Support, develop or deliver communications related to implementation of new business processes
  • Support HR initiatives at the global level to meet established targets through continuous evaluation, qualityassurance and focused improvement efforts
  • Provide ongoing coaching and development to process owners and HR staff in consistent application of HR Operational Excellence

 

Area of Expertise

  • Knowledge of Operational Excellence, business processes, and regulatory requirements applicable to human resources
  • Ability to create and apply templates using various software tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint/Teams, and Visio
  • Established ability to professionally communicate, both written and verbally, with all levels of the organization in a global environment
  • Proven project management experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as function at a high level as a member of diverse project teams
  • Ability to facilitate process discussions, advise stakeholders, and consult for consensus on process improvements
  • Experience documenting processes and organizing information in a way that facilitates intuitive retrieval
  • Ability to apply strong planning and problem-solving skills to manage multiple work streams

Min. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge and experience required
  • 10+ years of relevant experience and evidence of implementing process improvements in an organization with similar operational scale and geographic footprint
  • Deep understanding of the business processes within HR
  • Ability to lead technical discussions, challenge assumptions and gain consensus across diverse teams
  • Advanced skills in applications such as MS-Office, Visio and SharePoint/Teams
  • Participation in the configuration, design and testing of SAP/SF application experience preferred
