Basic Function

LyondellBasell is seeking a full-time, paid internship from approximately May 2024 through August 2024.

This internship will provide a comprehensive overview of Government Affairs, including international, federal, state and local government relations. The Intern will gain a better understanding of these various functions and be prepared to apply their classroom knowledge in a real-world practical setting.

The work location is the LyondellBasell Tower in Downtown Houston.

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist members of the Government Relations team with sustainability policy assessment and development
Assist with data entry and data reconciliation for the Trade Association database
Assist with a range of projects related to metrics, analytics, and policy development processes
Assist with data compilation with respect to the roll out and internal education of the company’s DoA and Trade Associations
Under the guidance of the GR team, participate in various projects and activities
Participate in brainstorm sessions, team meetings and department meetings

Min. Qualifications

Current enrollment in a Political Science or International Studies program with an interest and aptitude to work in Public Affairs or Government Relations
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe and internet applications
Fluent in English
