The Global Maintenance Process Manager is responsible for driving the effective implementation, standardization, and continuous improvement of the Maintenance Optimization Work Process (MOWP) across LyondellBasell sites worldwide. This role enhances maintenance execution by aligning planning and scheduling practices with corporate standards, fostering cross-site collaboration, and integrating digital technologies to improve efficiency, consistency, and productivity.
The role works closely with site Maintenance and Operations managers to identify opportunities to strengthen the effectiveness of MOWP processes. It also connects with planning and scheduling SMEs across the company to share best practices and support the implementation of tools that improve craft productivity at site level.
A Day in the Life
- Lead global deployment and sustainment of the MOWP framework across manufacturing sites.
- Assess site-level maintenance practices and identify gaps relative to MOWP standards.
- Deliver training, coaching, and conduct assessments to ensure consistent application of MOWP.
- Evaluate planning and scheduling capabilities (staffing, tools, skills) and support targeted improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with site teams to address planning and scheduling gaps through corrective actions and best practices.
- Develop standardized methodologies for time and cost estimation using norms, software tools, and historical data.
- Create and maintain procedures, training materials, and documentation to support capability building.
- Re-establish and lead the global Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Network sub-team to promote knowledge sharing.
- Define and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness and quality of maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Partner with SAP analysts and site teams to standardize SAP PM/MM usage and improve data integrity.
- Work with Digital Technology (DT) teams to implement digital tools that enhance planning efficiency and reduce costs.
- Analyze maintenance processes at sites and identify gaps relative to MOWP standard
- Deliver training, coaching, and participate in site assessments to ensure consistent and effective application of the MOWP framework
You Bring This Value
Aminimum of 15 years of chemical plant or refinery operations or maintenance experience is preferred- An engineering degree is not mandatory and will be considered alongside relevant experience and qualifications
- 10 years’ experience in a maintenance planning/scheduling or supervisor role in an a chemical plant or refinery
- Practical understanding of planning and scheduling principles and methodologies; Familiarity with planning and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera, Prometheus Scheduler, Microsoft Project) is a plus.
- Proficiency with SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) and MM (Material Management) modules. PS (Project System) module preferred but not required.
- Solid understanding of company policies related to plant maintenance, reliability, planning and scheduling, SAP and health, safety, and environmental requirements
- Strong communication skills with the ability to develop consensus and drive change across plant organizations
- Ability to network and collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Technology, Maintenance, and Training organization
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other personnel including operators, technicians, vendors, and contractors
- Willingness to travel domestically and globally up to 15% of the time
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required
